Another little delivery for Kerry and Nigel at Evolution Kustom Motorcycles .
A little run around for a 72 year old, who couldn't wait to remove the unnecessary L plates and terrorise the town......but can you believe that's a double overhead camshaft, twin exhaust port (lovely sweeping headers!) 50cc?
Enjoy those new wheels Brian!
With Thanet Area Scooter Services (T.A.S.S) – I just got recognised as one of their rising fans! 🎉
Had a little visit to PM tuning last week, delivered the cream TV (what a beautiful restoration) and was amazed at the detail on the GP😲
Another great review for Evolution Kustom Motorcycles, with a little Bike Moving assistance!

Unbelievably good service. Order confirmed at 0800 this morning and bike was in my garage at the other end of the country by 2130 the same day. The planets aligned for me today! We bought the bike from Evolution Kustom Motorcycles Ltd, who had it checked, serviced and dispatched with Bike Mover GB. Super friendly team and clearly understand ‘responsive customer service’. Thanks for getting me and my son started on our bike journey. Highly recommend both organisations.
Good to see our local animal shelter getting some much needed support, Margaret and her volunteers run a great shelter, with a lovely cafe AND provide much needed veterinary assistance to those people struggling on benefits.
So PLEASE spread this post around, turn up on the day and support the Lord Whisky, and maybe you can take something furry home too!
Little reminder to one and all!
For the benefit of all the MAG haters who say MAG has never achieved anything, when MAG has actually achieved plenty, despite the haters' failure to help or contribute, here are just a few highlights...
1973: MAG forms in response to a new law making it compulsory to wear a crash helmet.
1976: Sikhs are exempted from helmet law following a campaign supported by MAG.
1984: MAG's campaign results in the ban on motorcycle trailers being repealed.
1987: Yorkshire MAG runs the first Farmyard Party which will go on to become MAG’s single biggest fundraiser.
1988: MAG’s massively successful Hyde Park demo against compulsory leg protectors.
1988: Euro demo in Strasbourg; Federation of European Motorcyclists (FEM) formed.
1988: Northeast MAG runs the first Abbey Rally which, after moving its site from Finchale Abbey to Witton Castle, will become Stormin’ The Castle, another major fundraiser.
1989: Transport Minister Peter Bottomley is fired after MAG campaign against compulsory ‘leg protectors’.
1991: EC Licence Directive becomes law, but separate licencing for bikes over 400 cc is defeated following an intense campaign of lobbying.
1992: MAG launches ‘Operation Twistgrip – The Power in Your Hands’ in the run-up to the General Election campaign. For the first time in history, all the major UK political parties mention motorcycling in their manifestoes.
1993: MAG celebrates its 20th anniversary by an impromptu ride from the allotted venue of the Docklands building site to Buckingham Palace, to the applause of the tourists and the consternation of the police. We never managed to ascertain what The Queen thought…
1994: Giant Paris Euro Demo in response to EU Multi-directive.
1995: Government proposes ‘Continuous VED’, meaning you’d have to tax your bikes even if they were off the road. MAG’s VED-Day campaign proves that VED evasion by motorcyclists is nowhere near the level claimed by the Government. The Government accepts MAG’s SORN proposal, saving bikers a fortune.
1996: MAG wins parity for motorcyclists with car drivers on free tax discs for older vehicles, exempting all vehicles over 25 years old from road tax. If you’ve an old bike and a free tax disc, think MAG.
1996. Continuous VED proposal dropped.
1997: Launch of MAG's “Bikers are Voters” campaign, developed from the success of Operation Twistgrip. Again, all major UK political parties publish motorcycling manifestos.
1997: First MEP ride, Strasbourg. A meeting takes place between motorcycling groups and the Government to discuss transport policy.
1998: Formation of the Government’s ‘Advisory Group for Motorcycles’ is announced.
1998: MAG is involved with the launch of the new “Bikesafe 2000” initiative.
1999 MAG forms FEMA, the Federation of European Motorcyclists' Associations.
2000: MAG’s Biker Power 2000 demo in Trafalgar Square.
2001: Government announces a national motorcycle strategy.
2001: MAG wins exemption for bikes from new London Congestion Charge.
2002: Motorcycle access is trialled in London bus lanes. MAG wins access to the M4 bus lane.
2002: Local Group Expansion Plan published, to reinvigorate MAG at branch level.
2007: British Government backs MAG in opposing mandatory Europe-wide daytime lights. Another MAG win.
2010: “Riders are Voters” campaign launched for the 2010 General Election.
2011: Cross-country rolling demo on September 25th, in response to a raft of proposed EU legislation, makes national and regional news. MAG is mentioned in Parliament in the debate on the Brexit Referendum legislation. Steve Baker MP cites MAG in Parliament as being a citizen's lobby against EU dictatorship.
2019: The UK Government announces a plan for forced electrification which will see the same of new private internal combustion engine-powered vehicles (ICEVs) including motorcycles banned from 2030. MAG’s Annual Group Conference overwhelmingly rejects the plan and resolves to fight it.
2020: MAG launches a joint ‘Voters for Motors’ campaign with the Alliance of British Drivers (ABD) against forced electrification, founding the umbrella campaign organisation Transport Reality.
2021 MAG launches Operation Earthquake, to campaign against forced electrification.
2021: MAG leads opposition to the Government’s new anti-tampering proposals.
2023: MAG celebrates its 50th Anniversary.
MAG Membership costs £30pa. If you're tight and just want to keep £30 in your pocket, that's fine, we'll survive without you, but don't try to excuse yourself by dissing the efforts and sacrifice of the currently 7000+ MAG activists who have achieved plenty for motorcycling and who continue to do so, because you're fooling nobody but yourself.
Freedom isn't free, but £30 is a small price to pay.

This number, 07476 349646 just called me.
I answered and was met by a recorded message in an American accent telling me that HM Revenue and Customs had had a letter returned from me.
Looks like the scamming bastards have found the new way to scare people into parting with their money, so be careful!
