Art with Ali Folkestone
Art courses, workshops and events for children and adults in Folkestone. Hello! I'm Ali Hodgkinson Fogg, a figurative artist living and working in Folkestone.
I have been teaching art to children and adults in this beautiful seaside town since 2015.
Whatever their age, I teach my students the technical skills that are the bedrock of art practice - perspective, light and shadow, colour mixing, paint handling - while encouraging them to embrace their individuality and own way of seeing. After all, it is uniqueness that takes art from good to great.

All materials are provided, and participants will enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch as part of the experience.

☁️ Beautiful cloud studies in oil paint from today’s workshop ☁️
I have this double sink to give away. It doesn’t need plumbing so is perfect for an art studio without its own sink. Could also be good for a garden shed. You can run hot water if you plug it into a standard socket. I have the water tanks for both clean water and waste which go in the cupboard below the basins. Please share with anyone who may be interested:)
I have been showing my adult learners watercolour techniques for skies and seas. I absolutely LOVE this painting by Fiona! I am running a weekend watercolor workshop ‘Land Sea and Sky’ on July 27th and 28th where we’ll be learning these techniques and more, taking inspiration from Folkestone’s coastal park and harbour. There is a £20 discount on bookings made before the end of June, meaning the weekend is £130 with all materials and lunch includes. Booking is online at www.artwithali.co.uk. Please call if you have any questions on 07821361050, Ali 🌸

The workshop is suitable for beginners, improvers or more experienced artists looking for a refresher. All materials and a delicious vegetarian lunch included in the price.
