Dashcam and witness appeal after man dies in A361 collision | Avon and Somerset Police A man sadly died in a collision in East Cranmore on Wednesday 17 April.

Were you travelling along Frome bypass last night approximately 11pm?

If you have any dashcam, CCTV or other footage, or any information about the circumstances leading to the collision, please call 101 and give the reference 5224089811.

We're seeking witnesses and dashcam footage after a woman died in a collision on the A361 at Frome overnight.

It happened at about 11pm on Monday 08 April on the A361 at its junction with the A362. A silver Mercedes C220 AMG was in collision with a silver Volkswagen Golf.

Tragically, the driver of the Golf, a woman in her twenties, died at the scene. While formal identification has yet to take place, her next of kin have been informed and will be supported by a specialist family liaison officer. Our thoughts are with them.

A man in his fifties remains in police custody following his arrest on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving and drug driving.

If you have any dashcam, CCTV or other footage, or any information about the circumstances leading to the collision, please call 101 and give the reference 5224089811.

Tonight we trained in our Gas Tight Suits which we wear for certain types of chemicals for protection, and our decontamination procedure which is the process of moving from the contaminated area to a clean environment. Thanks to Lucy and her team for letting us use their site for the exercise venue, thanks also to Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service Control who play a vital role in exchanging information and providing support.

In the last 6 days Frome Fire Station have attended two property fires where neighbouring properties have heard their smoke alarms, seen smoke and called 999. One, the occupant was still inside and unable to evacuate without support and another the occupant was at work, without these working smoke alarms and supportive and curious neighbours things could have developed.

Winter is fast approaching and we’re encouraging everyone to check in on their loved ones as the weather turns colder.

We all have someone we care about who may need a little extra support if they have ill health or are less mobile.

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing things that you can do to help us keep those we love safe and reduce false alarms.

We already have lots of good advice on our website- https://orlo.uk/MBo32
