Always nice to see a hedge row brought back into order. A few jobs completed recently and several more to go!
Visit www.lpgardenandproperty.uk and get in touch if you have any requirements!
Phase one completed at a clients new house. They found that their garden was unsafe for their family and wanted to start the process of getting it back to a usable format.
With the help of Michael Paulin and Sam and Gary at Anstis Grounds & Gardens we made a big dent on the main areas of the garden while suggesting ideas for the layout going forward.
Old concrete pond cleared and removed with a new deck built in its place. Completed cleared the garden of brambles and redundant soil/ debris. Removed all concrete edgers and breeze blocks that were in the lawn, rotovated, brought in fresh top soil, and laid some new turf in it's place. Over seeded the lawn and pruned a climbing Euynomous in the front garden.
Looking forward to helping out further to get the garden looking amazing.
Initially my client asked us to come and cut the grass. After the first visit we discussed various options for the garden and decided upon relocating the furniture to an area that wasn't used.
We installed a wooden edge on the flower border then repositioned the existing plants as well as removing the bind w**d (ongoing job!). Next we cut the turf and laid it where the grass had died as a result of the furniture. Rolled and over seeded.
Bark chip was used to finish the seating area and planted two climbing roses behind the seating. Finally we put the festoon lights to create a cosy corner for those warm summer evenings!
Overall everyone is delighted with the garden that is now much more usable.
Here's an update from Moons Hill Quarry. Planters established and enjoying the weather! Lots of variation and colour when you look for it and it's a joy to watch the transformation around the site π±
Formal lawns cut, wildflower meadow lawns managed, carrot and beetroot seeds planted, gravel drive sprayed, patio and paths jet washed.
Could spend all week maintaining this property. What a joy in lovely weather!
Cut in a border, edged and w**ded the borders around the trees. Love the colour these buttercups, daisys, and speedwell offer.
Should keep our pollinators busy π π¦ππΌ
Out with the old and in with the new! Polycarbonate and aluminium shed will last a lifetime and will support the clematis nicely.
Nice and crisp! π Grass cutting and new border creation for a new regular client. Looking forward to seeing the border full of life soon.

Tidying up this lovely garden today. Reducing Lonicera and Cotoneaster hedges, lifting Holly, Wilbert, and Viburnum, shaping Pyracantha, Bay, and Leylandii hedges. Beautiful weather for it βοΈ
Enjoying getting started on a new contract this month. Grass and hedge cutting plus a few additional projects that I'm looking forward to starting.
Planted up these planters as they were looking very tired and unloved.
Something a little different this week. Replaced the timber on the front of the house as it was well past it's shelf life. Stained the new wood, renovated above the window, and fitted new plastic trim around the windows as an added extra.
The client was delighted, as were we to get it done for her! Thanks to James Coddington for helping with this one π
A couple of simple revamp jobs that make all the difference.
Wooden borders that replace the plastic edging.
Created a rockery from rubble, planted redundant wheelbarrow, and seeded area.
A long project getting the level of this lawn raised by 2-3 inches. It was a slow process; I built up the layers with top soil and grit/sand, levelled, seeded, and rolled to achieve the result. Still some work to be done but well worth it to see it now.
A few hedging jobs. Always nice to be asked back to from last year.
Another little fence done to block off this open garden. Added security was the goal here. Thanks Michael Paulin for helping out!
Nice to get this fence done alongside the father Michael Paulin! Turned out to be a little trickier than expected but we got it done, and the client was delighted with the end result π
Removed a Cherry Laurel for this client as it got a little out of hand. Planted a few Heathers to eventually fill the gap. Just needs some bedding plants to break up the area.
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year! ππππ»
Thank you to everyone who contacted me to complete work at your properties and also to all the recommendations that have allowed me to grow this year.
Looking forward to seeing what 2023 has to hold and hoping the same for everyone else π
Thanks
Lewis
Helped a client put their garden back to a usable format. They had recently moved in and needed a blank canvas to work on.
Cut in a slightly different border, cleared out the unwanted plants (which turned out to be most of them!) reset the paving slabs, planted two new trees and sowed new grass seed.
More happy clients who are looking forward to seeing it develop in spring πΊ
Completed this pond system alongside Anstis Grounds & Gardens. The client wanted to display the metal and glass sculpture amongst water so we came up with a concept and delivered it, despite the weather earlier this week!
Really enjoyed this project and I can't thank the clients enough for letting us take it on for them! They are delighted with the outcome and we're looking forward to seeing in spring once the hundreds of bulbs appear, grass recovers, and the area settles in.
Turned around this clients garden a few weeks ago. It became overgrown but we tackled the bulk of the growth through pruning, shaping the trees and shrubs, cutting the grass, and removing some previous cuttings. We also shaped the privet hedge at the front of the property.
Little break from gardening a couple of weeks ago, giving the gutters on this set of houses an Autumn clean π§½
Remodelled this area as the existing borders became unused and impractical so we reused the materials and planted up an edible garden (minus the Cyclamen). Repointed the path and patio too.
Really pleased with the result, as was the client. Looking forward to seeing how to develops and plenty of room for additional plants.
Enjoyed working at one of my regular clients today. Got the hedges cut, w**ded two borders and repositioned the Magnolia, Forsythia, Dogwood, Lavender, Choisya and Geraniums as they were all suffering where they were originally. Got the grass edged, strimmed, and cut to finish off the tidy up.
Shaped the Hawthorn hedge at my parents cottage at Oldford. Looks much nicer and doesn't scratch you as you walk past anymore!
They have decided for a change so the property is up for sale (pictures below). Stunning tiered back garden with countryside views, recent kitchen and bathroom update, and a big double garage. Contact Cooper and Tanner if you, or anyone you know, might be interested!
Hedge cutting an overgrown Lonicera, reducing a Hazel hedge in half and shaping up a mixed hedgerow.
Delighted to have got this one done, alongside the wife Hope Paulin, for the in laws. Out with the old as it had been sat there for over 15 years! Raised it up, extended it slightly, levelled, new step, and set four posts for the (still undecided) roof or canvas.
A few tree reductions completed over the last month.
The Wisteria was top heavy and had many redundant old branches/ terminals that needed taking out to allow new growth.
Thinned out Laurel as it was very dense. It allows some more light through and reduced the weight.
The conifer is in our garden and we wanted to keep it if possible. Decided to lift and shape it as it was very overgrown. Still needs some work but the rough shape is there and we can look after it now.
Cutting a cherry laurel this week. Took it in far as it is apparently very fast growing! Looking forward to helping with this garden as ongoing regular maintenance!
