The new shop window display this month features my collection of wooden painted Dala horses around the Dala horse paintings 🐴♥️

I am excited to share my latest collection of hand-painted wooden Dala horses. The Swedish Dala Horse form is a treasured symbol of Scandinavian folklore and culture. It has been around since the 17th century when farmers in Dalarna region originally carved it out from wood. For many generations, this horse became a symbol of strength and courage amidst hardship.

The Swedish Dala horse is something I have been drawn to for many years. I wanted to create a range of horses using bold colours and patterns that would add character to a home. I also love how they are a symbol of good fortune. My collection is now available on my website and in my shop in Frome

The day may have started with rain but now the sun has come out 🌞 we will be open until 3pm today for the we have been putting out lots of lovely new things 💕

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Thank you so much for your continued support with our small business. The excitement for Christmas is building in our house with our three children, I am looking forward to putting my feet up and watching Mogs Christmas this evening 🐱🎄

Hope your preparations for Christmas are going well! We will be open 10am-6pm tomorrow for any last minute gifts before Christmas. My new print currently available at the group folk exhibition this month. The exhibition shows the work of a wonderful selection of illustrators and designers in the Frome area inspired by the theme folk ✨✨✨

To celebrate our tenth anniversary of the shop, I have made a little flock of sheep. They are on display in the shop as well as on line. I am not currently able to make them to order so they are sold as seen. I have included some of the old favourites like Snowdrop and Pearl and have also created some new additions called Buddy and Blossom. Please click on the link to view the flock. I am excited to have two new paintings on show at the upcoming FOLK exhibition of frome illustrators, artists, designers and printmakers. It starts this Friday 1 December - 5 January held The private view is from 6-9pm tomorrow evening.

My original ‘Babushka Doll’ painting will be available for sale along with my new print ‘Folk Dancers’. Both are available in hand painted frames. Please do come to the private view and be the first to see the beautiful selection of works available!

Our shop in Frome celebrates ten years being open this year 🥳🎉🎈🎊🎂🔟. When my husband and I opened the shop we celebrated our launch party with a town crier, accordion player and a friendly sheep called Rollo who stood outside the shop (in a pen) to greet all our first customers. Scroll to see pictures ➡️ one of the pictures includes Ernest Clothier from Moore and Top who ran a shop in Frome from 1969 and donated hay bales for our customers to sit on. His shop is now closed after a century of trading. We were very touched by how kind and generous people were. I never thought we would be able to get a real sheep outside our shop, anything is possible, especially in Frome 🐑⭐️🐑⭐️🐑
