May is National Walking Month, a campaign which aims to get more people walking.
Why walking? Walking is an easy exercise, which doesn't need special equipment. Short walks are a perfect way to start and there are lots of easy ways to fit walking into your day - at work, once you clock off, with your family and at the weekend.
Need help and encouragement to get walking? We've two suggestions to share with you.
If you like using Apps, then download the NHS Active Walking Tracker from your App store. You can use the App to track your walks and set goals and the App includes hints and tips to help you achieve your goals. Look out for a pink logo with the Active 10 on it to know you are downloading the right app.
You might also like to join in with organised walks. You can join in with gentle and moderate walks in Frome, organised by the Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership. Monday walks go from the Cheese and Grain (meet at 10.15) and Wednesday walks start here from Frome Medical Practice (meet at 9.15)
All the details are available on the SASP website:

Come along to this weeks Talking Bench in Frome, outside the library. This week we're giving out Time to Talk resources.
Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation and it’s nearly here! Taking place on Thursday 3 February 2022, it’s the day that friends, families, communities, and workplaces come together to talk, listen and change lives.
Why talking is important
One in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year.
We want everyone to feel comfortable talking about mental health – whenever they like. Talking about mental health reduces stigma, helping to create supportive communities where we can talk openly about mental health and feel empowered to seek help when we need it.
https://timetotalkday.co.uk/
We're delighted to be back at our popular Talking Cafes again. Visit our website to find your closest venue.
Talking Cafes are a place to meet new people, make friends and chat to a community signposter about activities, support groups and services in your community.
Please share with friends and family who aren't online.

(P.s. with today’s suggestion, it’s up to you whether you share your wishes with that person, or just enjoy a moment of quietly sending them your love)
Bring a bit of Christmas magic to someone ✨

Wellbeing Frome Latest News
Wellbeing Frome is a new community group which has been set up to support people in Frome access complementary and natural therapies, no matter their income.
There are many local residents who are not currently benefitting from the rich array of natural therapies on offer in Frome.
The reason may be financial, or that people are not yet aware of how natural treatments may help them, be it for aches and pains or long term conditions.
Natural therapies seek to address the root cause of a problem, or if that is not possible, improve general wellbeing.
