SHARE Frome, Library of Things
SHARE Frome is a Library of Things where people save money, space and help the environment by borrowing things from us rather than buying new. You'll be amazed!
Take a look at our catalogue to see what you could borrow. https://sharefrome.org/things A drill is used on average for just 13 minutes throughout its lifetime. What if, instead of having to buy a drill you could borrow it? Why not share that drill that's been sitting in your cupboard gathering dust? Welcome to SHARE - A Library of Things in the centre of Frome. We have over 1000 things available
We would like to give a huge thank you to Camilla Blunt from Camilla Frances Prints who organised a very succesful Pre-loved Fashion Fair on the 1st of June. She raised a whopping £400 and has genrously donated it to Share Frome!
Thank you so much to THE GIVING GANG who will be undertaking a charity fundraising walk, 8 miles from Rode to Frome, to raise money for SHARE FROME! The walk will take place on the 29th June and they aim to raise £1000! Please show your support for these wonderful kids by sponsoring them at:

Lets Save SHARE Together - https://sharefrome.org/save-SHARE-together/
SHARE Frome has been given the devastating news that we will be losing our rent free premises. This news, combined with a 290% rise in running costs means that SHARE WILL CLOSE if we don’t urgently get support from local businesses, individuals and organisations.
Our volunteers and customers make SHARE Frome an amazing thing for us all to be part of. We realise that we are asking for big things to help us continue our borrowing and repair services but we believe in you, our community and the power you have to fight for what you care about.
We are part of an ever growing Library of Things network in the UK and across the globe. A Library of Things IS the way forward for the sake of peoples pockets, well being and the planet. We will do our very best to make sure we are still here for Frome after our eviction date of 2nd July but we now urgently need your support.

SHARE Frome’s repair service is back
SHARE Frome’s Library of Things Repair Cafe will be returning to the town for the first time since before Covid on Tuesday 16th April, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
The session, being held at SHARE’s premises at 3a The Bridge in the town centre, is the start of what organisers hope will be a regular event where local people can bring along broken household items to fix with help and advice from SHARE’s volunteer repairers.
Due to the pre-planning needed to successfully complete repairs at an event such as this, SHARE has confirmed that the Repair Café will not be an open ‘drop-in’ event; if you have an item you hope to fix, they have asked that you go to their website and complete the repair registration form no later than Tuesday 9th April.

From Library of Things faces closure if new home not found Frome charity might close despite community popularity.
It's World Autism Awareness Day and the start of World Autism Acceptance Week.
Autistic people face discrimination and barriers across all sectors of society – in the health and social care systems, in education, in employment, and everywhere in between. It is crucial that autistic people, and their families and carers, can access tailored information, guidance and support to overcome those barriers, along with opportunities to explore their interests, develop skills and build friendships for fulfilled lives.
What's needed...
.. better education for autistic young people.. shorter diagnosis waiting times.. more autism acceptance.. better job opportunities for autistic people
