For those who are new here, I’m Sharni Knighton. My happy place is in My hairloss clinic, where I work with amazing clients. I'm 41 and have been in the hair industry for over 25 years. Even with all that experience, I knew something was missing and felt I could do more to help women feel confident.

About 6 years ago, I noticed many women were avoiding the salon due to hair loss, and that’s when my new journey began. I handed over my hair salon to focus entirely on my clinic, and I feel incredibly privileged to be trusted by so many wonderful women to help them on their hair loss journey.

My clients range in age from 16 to 86, and my clinic is where you can truly relax and know that you are my main priority. I founded IntelliMESH™, my intelligent mesh integration system, and I also have a luxury range of human hair wigs and toppers. Additionally, I educate and mentor other stylists who share my passion for helping women experiencing hair loss. Together, we are raising industry standards and building a supportive community.

It's often challenging to show the final result of a finished wig, especially when a client values discretion, which I pride myself on. Many clients come to me because they appreciate this level of privacy. However, this wonderful new client kindly allowed me to photograph her to share the final look with you all.

This wig started as a very light blonde, and we decided to custom color it to match her biological hair. To achieve this, I reviewed images of her natural hair and consulted with her regular hair salon to discuss her previous colors. We chose a beautiful multi-tonal beige blonde and styled it into a soft bob with disconnected layers that she could easily push away from her face. We also added a soft side fringe, which she has worn for many years. She was thrilled with the outcome, as were her amazing friends who came along to support her and help me create the perfect look.

I wanted to take a moment to talk about something really important to IntelliMESH™ – our MESH BASE and why work the way we do. I am passionate about creating hair loss solutions that are not just effective but also safe and comfortable for you.

Let me explain why the base is different. Unlike stretchy materials that might seem appealing at first, our base has no stretch but is slightly moveable. Here’s the thing: when a material stretches, it tries to go back to its original state. This can pull on your natural hair, causing tension, discomfort, and even conditions like traction alopecia. We’ve seen how painful and uncomfortable this can be, and we want to avoid that for our wearers and take the worry away for our stylist.

Our design focuses on stability and strength. Stretchy materials can become unstable, causing uneven weight distribution and a lumpy feel. By using a material that’s shaped with our special folding technique, we create a base that’s secure and won’t bunch up or overstretch. This makes fittings easier for the stylist and ensures that it is comfortable to wear.

Breathability is another key factor. Our mesh has larger holes, making it more breathable and easier to maintain. You won’t have to worry about shampoo getting trapped or difficulty drying your scalp. Our design allows your hairdryer to reach your scalp easily, keeping your hair and scalp healthy and clean.

Hairlines are a crucial aspect of wig customization. Whether you prefer a natural hairline, have a widow's peak, or want bleached knots, I can tailor your wig to your liking. However, it's important to keep in mind that certain alterations, like plucking or bleaching, may impact the longevity of your wig. I always advise caution when making these decisions to ensure your wig lasts as long as possible.

Creating IntelliMESH™ has been an incredible creative journey for me. I have met the most amazing clients and stylists who have helped me along this journey. For the past 1 1/2 years, I have been developing a solution for women experiencing Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia. This new design has improved with each production cycle, thanks to client feedback and my commitment to prolonging the lifespan of the closure. I feel we are finally where we need to be, and I can utilize this design for all my clients looking to create fuller hairlines.

I really enjoy using this combination for my Intellimesh systems. The sleek, curved silk closures blend seamlessly with the machine wefts, offering versatility in creating custom fittings with varying density. The Band design of the machine weft allows me to split them when needed, giving a comfortable, low-density, natural-looking installation while still providing the desired coverage.

Taking care of this stunning Brazilian human hair wig in the shade for my lovely client! The wig features beautiful caramel blonde hues that are soft to the touch. Our maintenance routine today included washing, styling, and making some adjustments to enhance the overall look. We trimmed away some excess weight around the face and also widened the fringe for a more flattering appearance. It's all about achieving the perfect style, and sometimes it may require a few trims to get it just right. I always believe in taking the time to ensure a flawless cut rather than rushing through and ending up with regrets!
