Tup Cakes

30th Birthday Cake for my cousin and his wife, who celebrate their birthdays within a week of each other.
So here we are with a vanilla sponge cake consisting of 4 layers, each layer brushed with amaretto liqueur then sandwiched together with raspberry jam and buttercream. Then the whole cake was covered in buttercream and edible confetti was used to cover the top and sides before adding a rich chocolate ganache to drip down the sides. Decorated with a resin keepsake heart and acrylic Happy Birthday and numbers and initials all finished off with 30 candles.

Homeward bound after a lovely weekend celebrating my cousins Will and Stacey’s 30th birthday at The Legion in Wendover. It was a pot luck party, where everyone took a dish of something delicious.
A great time was had by all, and I’m
pleased to say that the cake was delicious. As was the rest of the food. Thank you again for letting us join in
with your celebrations.
It was good to see you at breakfast too, even if some of you were still a little the worse for wear, safe travels as you continue on your Wonderfully Wild Adventures.

So it’s been a while since my last post due to family commitments and sickness.
However I did have the opportunity to make a 70th completely VEGAN CAKE for my Aunts 70th party, it consisted of a chocolate 7 and a lemon and lime 0 both of which were very moist and made without numeral tins.
I also made a social media cake for a 13th birthday party, and the birthday girl was thrilled with results.
Back in September I baked a lemon stacked sponge cake for my daughter which consisted of 3 lemon sponge cakes soaked in lemon syrup then filled with homemade lemon curd with buttercream, the sides were crumb coated and covered in lemon cake crumb. And the top layer was decorated with lemon swirls and lemon curd and candied lemon zest.

Lily built her own haunted gingerbread house today and she did an amazing job # # #

What more can a girl want In a Birthday Cake????
Chocolates and Vodka Shots…..
3 light as air chocolate malted cakes, sandwiched together with smooth chocolate malted buttercream then decorated with Maltesers and surrounded with assorted vodka shots, birthday wishes added to the cake board and cake finished off with a puff of glitter spray.

So along with my Dads 80th we also celebrated my bro’s 50th and not to be left out another cake was needed this one was a star shaped red velvet layer cake sandwiched together with cream cheese frosting and very berry trifle spread.

To celebrate my lovely Dads birthday on the 21st December he was 80 years young I had to bake him a cake. As my Dad is a ginger lover I decided on a gingerbread layer cake sandwiched together with whisky caramel sauce and whisky caramel buttercream and decorated with crystallised ginger. This was a cake I personally recommend it was delicious.

Something a bit different, this Christmas cake is for someone who loves marzipan but doesn’t like icing so here we have a cake with a layer of marzipan baked in the centre of the cake then the cake is covered in marzipan decorated with marzipan stars and the marzipan is then toasted with a blow torch. All in all a lovely but somewhat different take on the Christmas Cake

Rainbows and Unicorns Birthday Cake for my Granddaughters 9th Birthday. 3 layered vanilla sponge with sprinkles inside, filled with raspberry jam and buttercream. Then covered in rainbow buttercream.

Caramac and Chocolate naked drip cake, cake consists of layers of chocolate fudge cake with white and milk chocolate drops along with layers of buttery caramel cake with Caramac chips. All stacked and filled and covered with Buttery Caramel buttercream, then drizzled with melted Caramac and decorated with Caramac flavoured buttercream swirls topped off with Caramac pieces.
