The little tearoom on the Tyne

Schooner breakfasts are on the menu all day everyday ( Monday to Saturday ) from tomorrow.
As it’s now officially the end of summer we will be going back to our Autumn/Winter hours for the kitchen. 10am to 8pm every day with our full main menu from 12 midday. The cafe menu and full breakfasts will be available from 10 am.
Remember you can call us and have your breakfasts delivered on 0191 4777404 or anything from our extensive full menu.

I don’t think you’ll get a better value breakfast anywhere really. 8am until 11.30 am Monday to Saturday at The Schooner.

Welsh rarebit popular yesterday. We are open Monday to Saturday 8.30 am to 4pm.

This bank holiday Monday 8th May we will extend breakfast from 8am to midday to let you have a lie in. We are situated at The Schooner right on the banks of the Tyne behind Gateshead stadium. NE83AF. Open til 4pm for delicious food, teas, coffees and ice creams x

Anyone fancy a nice mixed grill tomorrow afternoon for £5 ? We’ve got that from 5pm cooked on the patio by Carlton and Maj, followed by our “Corrienation’ quiz from 5pm and the excellent Terry Gorman and his guitar from 6:30.

There’s nowhere else in earth that I’m aware of you can get a gorgeous hot beef dip and a glass of sasparilla for £4.50. Come and try for yourself. X

Vegan breakfasts were popular today, shatshukas too. Less than a quarter of the price of a well known alternative venue and Steve P says ours are far tastier😂

The beef going into a hot beef dips ( only £2.50 each ). It’s so tasty, big shout out to the lad who had 4 today 😂. Open from 8:30 Monday to Saturday.

It’s Tuesday, 2 large steak dinners with a fresh sauce if your choice plus 2 pints or a nice bottle of wine for only £20.
