It's our last push today before we take some time to enjoy a rest with our families. Everything went smoothly yesterday and although we were manicly busy, everyone kept good spirits. The thinking is, we'll be busier today and so I've press ganged my Christmas butcher into making his annual appearance. IMPORTANT INFO' 🎅Today is likely to be extremely busy and you may have a short wait to be served. You will need to join the queue, as everyone in it will have an order waiting for collection too. You can purchase extra goods from the counter if you wish. 🎅We'll do everything in our power to minimise your wait and keep things ticking along. With that in mind, it's important that you know the name you ordered under to help us locate your goods. 🎅Please be mindful of our neighbours' premises entrances, and local residents' doorways when you're waiting. Remember it's the Season of goodwill! 🎅Our opening times are 7am till 3pm to give us time to prepare tomorrow's orders. 🎅Everyone in the shop has worked extremely hard, not just this week but throughout the year and I'm sure you'd agree they do a fine job. We're taking Christmas orders for turkey, All the Trimmings Hampers and any number of other cuts right up until just before the Big Day!

Let's talk turkey🦃 ❗️ Long post alert❗️ Prices at this time of year go up for obvious reasons. It's like package holidays in the six weeks. The prices are determined by our suppliers and the current cost of rearing birds for the farmers. We of course, also need to make a living. We weigh each bird individually so that you only pay for what you get. We don't round weights up or down. Here's a very rough guide of what you can expect to pay. Whole turkey: PRICES ARE APPROXIMATE 4kg ( 8.5lb) £55ish 9kg (19.5lb) £125 ish We are currently working on Christmas prices of, £6.25 per lb which is £13.75 per Kg If you have any queries please pop into the shop or give us a ring during working hours. The price for turkey crowns is still fluctuating and I'll set them as soon as possible. D.

The All the Trimmings Hamper is available to pre order now. Everything is suitable to freeze and is the ideal way to have everything at the ready. Ham, for Christmas Eve ✅️ Bacon, for after he's been sarnies ✅️ Beef to accompany the turkey ✅️ Chipolatas and streaky bacon for pigs in blankets ✅️ Sausage meat for stuffing ✅️ Sausages for Boxing day brekky ✅️ Pork for that bit between Christmas and NY✅️ Or if none of that floats your boat, it's still a great value way to get some provisions in!

The Christmas Order book is filling up nicely and there's still plenty time to get your orders in. We always keep it open as long as possible- so a final closing date will follow. I'm also debating our opening times atm and will let you all know once a decision is made.

If you're planning a New Year roast, pop in to see us for your meat produce. We close tomorrow at 2pm and open as usual Tuesday.

If you're planning a New Year lunch or gathering, we have all manner of locally sourced meat produce. Call in or give us a bell. We're still delivering if you need a drop off but slots are very limited. Closing is planned at 4 Thursday and Friday, but if the weather keeps everyone indoors, it'll be flexible. D.

Thank you to those people who have messaged with suggestions for ways to distribute the donated Hampers and turkey crowns. These Hampers are worth over £75 and I'm sure they will bring Christmas cheer to anyone receiving one.
