Emotions positive and negative are a gateway to what we are thinking and feeling for us to grow on a soul level.

Learning to move these emotions helps increase our energy levels and our overall vitality as they are just energy. They are meant to be experienced and released. Sometimes subconsciously we hold on to them for different reasons.

Emotions that keep us stuck
Grief, fear, guilt, shame, disappointment. All of which we can learn to let go of.

How strong is your desire for change?

At the beginning of a New year we are encouraged to let go of the old and embrace new ideals. Most people start and within 6 weeks stop again. What did you promise yourself you would do last year and didn't? Do you want support to achieve your goals in 2024?

Whether it is a personal goal, health goal, business goal or sport goal for 2024, it really doesn't matter. The energy you have behind it is.

What really matters is your willingness and readiness to commit to it and be open up to receiving support plus tools and techniques that will shift previous blocks, whilst we build a new road map, keeping your eyes firmly on your Prize.

Finishing the Golf season strong

I started playing golf ⛳️ in high school and was asked to join my local club because the Lady Captain who was my PE teacher saw potential in me.

I was sadly disappointed as unfortunately my family couldn’t afford clubs or the membership for me at that time and so I didn’t join. I did hit balls in a field on the farm where I lived to practice and I played with a few holes with friends but never a full round. Never thinking much of it.

Moving forward 7 years I travelled to Australia on a working holiday. I didn’t know golf was a career for members in my family. My Uncle was a Golf club maker and my cousin a Golf pro

When I spent time with my cousin I told him I would one day create a tape (how old am I) for improving Putting.

He asked me what I knew about golf and all I said was I knew it was to do with mindset. He laughed dismissing my idea.

On that holiday I played a round of golf (given 36 strokes) I came in 9 under to my surprise and the surprise of everyone at the club.

15 years later I created a golf ⛳️ DVD for improving Putting called Putt to Glory after training in several holistic techniques. After years of honing the techniques .

From 2011 I worked with Professional male golfers and footballers to improve their performance as part of the team. I was part of the back room staff that helped get a local Scottish professional team promoted to the Scottish Premiership for the 1st time in nearly a decade.

Today I’m working with female golfers coming through internationally.

We are like elephants

We store all sorts of information consciously and subconsciously in order for us to navigate the best we can as children.

We don't know what we don't know, so navigating using all our senses creates our individual perception of the world and our corresponding behaviours.

Like a computer we file everything and then tap back into these experiences to decide what we need moving forward.

If we experience a stressful situation we can store the trauma on an energetic level which causes us to react in certain ways and repeat patterns. We can however effectively delete the old emotional stresses and trauma using techniques which in turn change our behaviours.

Example

People pleasing as a behaviour to feel loved, feel accepted or feel safer. Ultimately you feel the feeling for a very short period of time and then you crave to feel it again, just like craving food.

As we start to clear the emotional stresses that are underlying, our behaviours change, we become more relaxed and we become more authentic and congruent to who we are and want.

All you need is a willingness to try it and see for yourself.

ACHEIVING A GOAL

Depending on the goal, we need to have different strategies to keep us on task and focused or get help to find new or better ways to approach the goal. Getting the support we need to stay on track until we are over the finish line.

I find long term goals the hardest, especially if I am putting in the work and doing what I am meant to be doing and for what ever reason I am just not getting the result I want. So, what can you do?

Surround yourself with people who will support you towards your goal.

Find people who have experienced the same frustrations you experience in order to hear how they overcame the frustrations and challenges.

Review regularly to see what has improved, you can do this!

Keep going and be patient with yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Hamster wheel thoughts

Sometimes we can go round and round the same thoughts over and over and over again, cycling the same fears, worries and pain not understanding why. Just not able to move forward in a new way, no matter how much we want to.

Sometimes we need a new perspective to take a new leap forward.

So whether the stress is related to health, family, business or something else. There is someone here you call to find that new way forward.

Battling with your weight

I have battled with my weight for many years not always understanding why.

I exercised regularly, I eat relatively healthy (although chocolate and crisps) and regular snacking have led to weight gain. In my 20s you couldn't see it the same as my metabolism was faster and as I hit my 40s I could physically feel my middle becoming more square and no matter what I did diet wise or trying to follow 5 days exercise, meditating etc my weight kept on increasing until I got to the heaviest i have ever been.

My confidence was shot, I didn't feel attractive and battled constantly with myself.

That was until I started to address the "cause of the issue" not the "effect". The food can be part of it but actually the cause was the emotional triggers I had inside that made me reach for the chocolate or the biscuits and crisps etc.

I cannot tell you how good it feels to finally feel relaxed around food and not be beating myself up plus my weight is lower without having to "diet". I eat when I am hungry and enjoy food rather than stress.

How we think & Feel

How we think and feel can have a huge impact on our physical health and with NHS waiting lists being as long as they are the stress of waiting alone can take its toll.

Stress about every day life, money, our parents, our kids on top of an illness or waiting for a result can be too much and being able to express what we are thinking and feeling openly can allow the pressure to drop and for us to be able to cope better under the circumstances.

There is always someone else to talk to even if it isn't who you thought it might be.

Why do we stay in these relationships?

We love them?
We think their behaviour will change?
We can't see a way out?
The behaviour becomes the norm and we accept it.

We learn what we learn until we don't.

Change takes new action, people who have different experiences, skills, and perspectives from us for us to develop new skills and boundaries, implement them and move forward.

Lucy struggling at work

Lucy had been in her job for 15 years when a new girl arrived and started to bully her. Initially she tried to shrug it off and after several months went to her boss to tell him what was happening. Her boss said he would monitor the behaviour of the other member of staff but didn't take any action or speak to the other girl.

Another few months on and Lucy was starting to dread going into work, just didn't have the motivation to do anything because she felt so down. On top of that a close friend passed away and this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The emotions were overwhelming, and she couldn't face going into work. She went to the doctor, and they agreed some time off would be good.

Lucy also decided she couldn't continue to feel the way she did and decided to speak to me. After her first session she felt a bit lighter in herself. By the end of week 2, Lucy felt she could speak to her boss again re the bullying or she would have to leave her job. Her boss also did not know she had lost a close friend she explained how both events had been making her feel.

The good thing is she started to talk about the way she was feeling, and this allowed her to decide what she wanted and the action she needed to take to feel better in herself and move forward.

By having sessions, we gave her an opportunity to learn new ways of dealing with issues in the future. So, if you are going through a difficult time, find someone you can talk to who can help you navigate to a much brighter place. There is always someone there maybe just not who you thought.
