5 Key lessons for lasting results… 1️⃣Your Environment is more important than your motivation or willpower. If you’re in the right environment with the right support you can keep making progress even when you hit a rough patch. 2️⃣It is not a matter of ‘if you’ll have a bad day’ it is a matter of ‘when’. Three things I used to believe when I first started Coaching that I don’t now… 🫣 1️⃣You need to kill yourself in the gym every time… I’d now rather you worked at 80-90% effort and do that consistently. 2️⃣You need an advanced training programme or special diet to get in shape… all this does is add stress & can often lead to paralysis by over-analysis! 3️⃣You shouldn’t ever be hungry on a diet.. being hungry is just a normal part of life! We should feel hungry on a diet. What we need is to bring awareness to the sensation and be ok with it… to avoid panicking & doing something rash because we feel like we’re failing. “If you want to go fast go alone, but if you want to go far then go together” I speak to hundreds of struggling people a month… … the main reason they can’t seem to get their progress to stick? They’re trying to do it all by themselves! Unsure if what they’re doing is actually working 🫣 Going all in, if they do everything then something must work!! But then life gets stressful… a bad day at work, and suddenly going all in sends them on a downward spiral. A weekend off plan becomes a week and before they know it that week turns into a month. 5 Action Steps we ask all our Clients to follow when they start with us… 1️⃣ Set your baselines… You need to know where you are to begin so you have something to track your progress from. I’ve seen too many people give up because they didn’t think they were progressing… chances are that they’d made significant progress but had no baseline to compare it to. 2️⃣ Set a training structure and then be consistent with it!! You don’t need to train 7 Days per week; you need to find a plan that fits your schedule and be consistent. Remember, what you do today and not what you do every day creates the result. We measure progress in months and years, not days and weeks! 3️⃣Increase your daily activity… the easiest way to do this? Add 2k steps on top of your current average. This is between 15-20 minutes of walking each day. I don’t care how busy you think you are; you can always find an extra 15 minutes to take care of your health. 4️⃣ We set up our Mix and Match diet plan… an easy-to-follow nutritional system that allows you to create meal plans in under 5 minutes and makes it even easier to stick to. Simplicity scales whilst complexity kills. Don't overcomplicate your diet, and you’ll get better and quicker results than you ever thought possible!! 5️⃣ Track all of the above… the simple act of holding yourself accountable with a tracker, more often than not, cuts out all the crap that you were going before. It shows you precisely what was serving you and what was holding you back, again giving you a clear action plan on what needs work! Getting in the best shape of your life is a game of trial and error. You just need to start and refine as you go; we don’t expect you to get it perfect from the start. Weekly Wind down… Over the last six months, our Club went through some substantial changes… Our mission is the same! Our values are the same! But something felt like it was missing… We were helping people but knew we could do more… That we could provide a better service and really change people’s lives. So, we took the plunge. And even if it doesn’t work out, worst-case scenario, I’m in the same position as I started. In the best-case scenario, I achieved something I never thought I could.
