✨This picture is more than a learner’s love for animals and the artistic journey I’ve embarked on 😆 ✨ 🟢 In the last few month I’ve been teaching this learner to label features on items and as a result: ✅ He can receptively find various features on items ✅ He can label various features on items ✳️ But most importantly he can ask and communicate for things he wants! ✳️ For example, he can ask for adults to draw spots on the giraffe and stripes on the tiger. He can ask for a tail, legs, body, nose, eyes and mouth to be drawn. Most recently he’s enjoyed everything drawn on a sheep then me saying, “Oh no! Transitive conditioned motivating operation (CMO-T) ✴️ I’ve heard of it but what is it? This is when a stimulus (something in the environment) establishes (or abolishes) the need for another stimulus (something in the environment). In other words, the presence of the CMO-T generally increases (or may decrease) the value of another stimulus (object) as a reinforcer. So, what does this mean?! Something that previously had no value to you has now become of value!
