Hello, I am a BCBA/ABA Consultant in Scotland working with children with autism and other additional support needs. I have over 12 years of experience in the field of ABA which include working in an ABA Clinic in Canada and an ABA School in London. I am now offering Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention (EIBI) support for families in East Ayrshire and the Glasgow surrounding area.

✨This picture is more than a learner’s love for animals and the artistic journey I’ve embarked on 😆 ✨
🟢 In the last few month I’ve been teaching this learner to label features on items and as a result:
✅ He can receptively find various features on items
✅ He can label various features on items
✳️ But most importantly he can ask and communicate for things he wants!
✳️ For example, he can ask for adults to draw spots on the giraffe and stripes on the tiger. He can ask for a tail, legs, body, nose, eyes and mouth to be drawn. Most recently he’s enjoyed everything drawn on a sheep then me saying, “Oh no! What’s missing?!” He’ll giggle and say, “ears!”
✨ Times like this remind me why I love what I do 💛

Love = use of positive reinforcement 🖤 Positive reinforcement is the process in which a stimulus (object or activity, etc.) is added immediately after a behaviour. Thus, resulting in the behaviour most likely occurring again in the future
