ELD is pleased to announce the IOMAD 4.3 release, available to download on GitHub! There has been a fundamental change in the way that users are associated with tenants, which means that you can now have normal users in more than one tenant and can even assign them elevated roles per tenant. In other words, they could be a Company manager in one and an ordinary user in another, offering even more flexibility. The new core Moodle Multi-Factor Authentication tool has also been updated to allow per-tenant configuration, and we've made loads of changes in overall usability to improve your IOMAD experience - including a brand-new website!

So - this happened.

Now available on GitHub! As Moodle 4.1 is the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version of Moodle, IOMAD 4.1 takes the opportunity to leverage some of the core Moodle functionality for use in a multi-tenant way. New features include the automatic display of tenant logos and favicons, parent company roll-up of reports, and a complete overhaul of the eCommerce plugin to offer optimal flexibility for payments. We are currently suffering from a major outage out the data centre where our servers are located. This is being worked on as a matter of urgency as it is impacting on a number of our services.

Outage started at 00:15 with a small impact and has escalated as of 01:27 to a much wider range of service.We will update as we are able.

We are rolling out TLS for ALL of our existing Moodle and Iomad hosting client over the coming weeks. We’ll be in touch individually with the details soon. Any new hosted sites will automatically have TLS as part of their hosting agreement with E-Learn Design 😊

Patching day! New minor releases of Moodle are out today so we will be patching all 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 customer sites. Iomad patches will be pushed to github ASAP.

Statement: As you will be aware, the Data Centre which hosts all of our servers had a massive power outage where both lines into the building failed. The Data Centre E-Learn Design uses is the third largest in the world and this outage is impacting on several countries with thousands of businesses affected.

You all have our deepest apologies and assurances that we will be insisting on more detailed answers and explanations once sites are back up and running. These will be passed on to you.

For now, we are concentrating on getting service back up asap.

Please be aware that ALL of our backups were successful last night and are stored elsewhere.

We are, as ever, grateful for your patience and will continue to update you regularly.

The data center where our servers are located is currently experiencing a significant outage. They are working on the issue and I will update when there is further news.

It's September long weekend and we're taking a well deserved break Fri/Mon. Urgent emergency support will operate as normal and we'll be back & about on Tuesday. Let's all cross our fingers the rain stays away 😜
