We're taking a small break from production from Monday 5th April to Friday 9th April. This will allow us to update our operating procedures and re-evaluate our Covid-19 protocols to ensure we can maintain a high level of safety for returning colleagues, suppliers and customers.

LATEST CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – 05.01.20

In line with the latest Scottish Government Coronavirus Guidance (announced 04.01.21), we are open but we are currently working reduced hours with a reduced staff. This is a necessary action to protect our staff and to do our part in helping to reduce the spread of this virus.

Our updated opening hours for January are Monday-Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm.

Our premises are not open to the public until further notice, so orders will include delivery for the time being. Details will be provided on this at time of enquiry.

We cannot wait to welcome back our team and customers to our freshly refurbished print studio (hopefully!) in the not too distant future. In the meantime, here’s a sneaky peek of what we’ve been up to.

The plans were created and building work carried out just before the end of 2019 - pre-COVID!

Structural work was carried out by our good friend . We love working with creative people that share our vision and can incorporate great design into practical solutions!

We wanted to segment the current open plan layout into smaller pods, to create more functional work stations and a customer area.

We didn’t want to lose the open feel or block light through the building so we researched material options and decided on using clear twin wall polycarbonate as this would also provide some sound and heat insulation.

Chris worked with us on the design, from brief through adaptations, to completion.

With the walls being clear it was important to make a feature of the framing. We love geometric design and we worked with Chris to create the ‘Exposed Skeleton’ framework.

We absolutely love how it’s turned out! Chris’s creative work methods and attention to detail have really brought our rough idea to life.

There’s still some more work to do but we’ll be ready to welcome you all soon!

We’re Push, a Glasgow based creative business, driven by a passion to provide visual branding and communication through innovative digital print.

We’re looking for a Creative Artworker/Graphic Designer to join our growing team and we think it could be YOU!

As part of our in-house design team, you’ll be expected to create visual branding concepts from scratch as well as produce artwork to strict brand guidelines for a variety of brands and organisations from wide ranging sectors; start-ups, SME, education organisations, drinks industry, holiday companies, retail, and some household brands that you’ll definitely know!

You’ll also be responsible for the creation and development of our own Company branding as well as the design of web and print collateral.

Additionally, you'll provide the print production team with pre-press support when required, helping to pre-flight artwork and set up for print both for small format (sheet fed digital) and large format (roll fed digital inkjet).

Expect a varied workday and know that when the deadlines looms on that super urgent job, you’ll be expected to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in to help out and ensure we get the project delivered!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce print ready artwork to brand guidelines
• Create design concepts from brief
• Manage client files and assets
• Create and develop in-house design for print and online
• Prioritise tasks and manage time
• Manage design projects
• Collaborate with internal production team and external resources and suppliers
• Assist in the develop of the Company’s product and service range
• Operate in-house digital print machinery
• Use company print MIS to manage workflow and record information

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential
• You will need to have had sufficient and appropriate experience in the role of Creative Artworker/Graphic Designer
• You thrive working in a fast-paced environment
• You’ll have a passion for design, follow current trends and styles and keep up to date with new developments and techniques in design software
• You should be an Adobe CS ninja (In Design, Illustrator & Photoshop) as these are the tools of our trade
• You’ll have good problem-solving skills with the ability to ‘think on your feet’ and provide solutions to everyday challenges
• You should have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• You should be equally competent working alone or collaborating with others
• You will be organised with good task tracking abilities and be able to work to tight deadlines
• You’ll have a keen eye for detail
• Have a willingness to learn and develop your skills to better your role

Preferred but Not Essential
• Higher education qualification in a design/print related subject
• A working knowledge of MS Office packages and common office IT support packages
• Previous experience using Command Workstation and Onyx
• Have operated a digital print press or large format ink jet printer
• Worked with print finishing equipment

This is a permanent, full-time position based here at our studio and print factory in Glasgow.
