What’s happened in Kolkata is shocking. I can’t even begin to imagine what the friends and family of the girl must be going through, let alone the victim herself. We need to talk to the boys more openly and teach them about consent and how women need to be respected. They need to understand they are not superior and they can’t fulfill their sexual urges as and when they want. Consent is imperative and non-negotiable.

As I walk around Boudreaux I seem to keep spotting doorways and windows that stop me in my tracks. Enjoy the beautiful scenes!

Are you buying anything?

I have not been trained to become a fashion or an interior designer but that does not stop me from creating beautiful clothes, jewellery or spaces! I might not have the technical sphistication to present a concept but I have the ability to conceptualise, style and execute a project to perfection!
Here you see some 2D drawings (not made by me) of a beautiful arched baithak enterance and a mandir for a 5 bedroom home in Delhi that I am designing, along with some reference images to showcase what inspired me. The arch will be painted in a Jaipur Hawa Mahal pink with white and forest green detailing. And the Mandir will be in teal blue with white detailing.
It all started with a hand drawing ( last image ) in my notebook. Can’t wait to share more, watch this space!

I have been working on this gorgeous neckpiece and earring set for ages! Finally it’s ready. The inspiration for this came from a beautiful image I saw in London whilst visiting an exhibition in the British Museum about Mugal jewellery. It stayed with me and finally when it has come to life! HAVELI STYLE INTERIORS
Finally my drawing for the enterance of a haveli style baithak ( living area) for a 5 bed home in Delhi, India is finished.
I am obsessed with Jahrokhas and arches. This particular arch will be painted in the gorgeous Jaipur pink colour with white and forest green detailing. I have incorporate the crescent shaped and 8 petal traditional ‘Chand Buta’ in the design to add a bit of magic to it.
3 master artists are starting to work on creating the archway tomorrow , followed by another artist who will do the design detailing with plaster or Paris and then it will be painted by hand in the most stunning colours.
I know my drawing is not the best, but that’s the best way to get my vision out to the brilliant craftsmen I work with.

If I was a painter and the World was my canvas …
