The final piece for my graded unit- 'Cuantach' neckpiece in driftwood, silver, fishing line and enamel paint.
The brief was 'InForm' and could be interpreted in a number of ways. I went down the line of informing the wearer about the roots of the piece's inspiration, so the piece includes some laser-etched Gàidhlig words and one of the logs contains a removable USB stick containing a selection of my photographs of Skye, an 'Introduction to Gàidhlig' and a map.
Who ever said a necklace couldn't teach you anything?!

My third and final piece for the 'Sense of Place' brief at college. Brooch in driftwood, paint, silver, steel and sapphire. This piece was inspired by the morning calm, 'socair' waters of Portree bay and layers of old paint on fishing boats.

Second piece for the 'Sense of Place' brief at college. Brooch in sterling silver and steel, inspired by my love of snowboarding and the feelings of freedom and happiness from being up in the mountains (and hurtling down them!)
