Worcester Bosch 4000 30kw with 10 year guarantee, installed by us, last week, in Hamilton. 🔥

We were called by our customer to provide a quote for a new boiler, to replace the old, existing Vokera. The Vokera had broken down numerous times over the winter, to the point that their home care provider said they wouldn't repair it any more.

Our customer had done some research and decided they would like a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 30kw with 10 years guarantee. That's fine by us!

As you can see from the before photos, the existing pipework wasn't the best, so we repiped most of the cupboard to bring it up to our standards.

This job was completed with a Worcester Bosch system filter, full system flush, and reconnection of the customers existing Hive thermostat.

Here's a step by step post on what I get upto on a typical boiler service. This boiler was installed by me in Jan 2021. This is its 3rd service.

1. Safely isolate the appliance from the electric
2. Remove the burner and clean the heat exchanger
3. Remove and clean the condensate trap
4. Drain the boiler and inflate the expansion vessel
5. Check and clean the magnetic filter
6. Test the incoming gas pressure at max rate
7. Check the integrity of the flue seals
8. Check and adjust the combustion performance
9. Carry out a water quality and inhibitior level check
10. Refit the case and fill in the service record

As you can see, this isn't a 10 minute job like some of the larger national companies would have you believe. This boiler is still under warranty for the next 7 years. A proper service like this means that warranty will remain valid and give my customer peace of mind!

Surveyed, quoted and installed within 24 hours 🏠🔥🌡️

Last week we received a call from a customer in Hamilton. Their existing Vokera boiler had sprung a leak and they wanted us to quote for a replacement.

I attended and had a look at the boiler. The leak was coming from the expansion vessel hose which is a relatively easy fix. We offered a repair, but our customer said they have had enough of repairing it and would like a replacement, so we issued 3 fixed price quotes there and then on site.

Our customer chose the magnificent Baxi UK Main Eco Compact 30kw combi boiler with 5 years parts and labour warranty. The boiler was installed along with an Adey Atom magnetic filter and a Hive smart WiFi control.

We also had a decision to make regarding the new condensate waste pipe. Rather than run this outside and risk it freezing, we chose to install a condensate removal pump which is the black box you can see under the boiler. This pumps the waste condensate water away to the kitchen drain pipe. Keeping the condensate pipe within the house means it will never cause an issue freezing up.

Earlier this week we installed this brand new, high efficiency boiler from ATAG Heating Technology with 12 years warranty for our customer in Hamilton. 🏠🔥🌡️

The existing boiler was a very early Worcester Bosch condensing unit fitted in 2001. We have carried out a few repairs on this boiler over the last 2 years but it was now starting to show its age. With the colder weather approaching our customer didn't want to risk another winter with it.

Worcester Bosch 32CDi Compact. High Efficiency Combi Boiler Installed In Hamilton 🔥

This is a new boiler installation carried out by M.Kelly Heating last week for our client in Hamilton. The old Vokera boiler had been deemed unsafe by another company and we were called in to quote for a replacement boiler to be fitted.

Our client had done some research and decided they wanted a Worcester Bosch boiler installed. Being in a small cupboard under the stairs we chose to go for the Worcester Bosch 32CDi Compact combi boiler with 10 years warranty, which is perfect for this application.

A Hive, smart WiFi control was installed, allowing the customer to control their heating from their phone.

We also added a condensate removal pump. The condensate removal pump allows us to keep the condensate pipe inside the property to totally eliminate the possibility of it freezing when the weather is cold.

A heating system filter was installed with this boiler, and a full heating system flush was carried out in line with the boiler manufacturers requirements.

This installation was completed in one visit to minimise disruption.

Last week we installed this 830, 30kw combi boiler with 10 years parts and labour warranty for our customer in Hamilton.

Our customer had just bought their bunglow and the current boiler was up on the loft. As part of their full house renovation they had decided to get a new boiler installed and move the location from in the loft and into this hall cupboard, saving them from having to access the loft should the boiler need attention.

We decided upon the Baxi 830 30kw combi boiler with 10 years parts and labour warranty, along with EPH controls and an Adey Magnaclean magnetic filter. A full central heating flush was performed and the job was up and running at the end of day 1, with a few hours the next day to tie up a few loose ends. We were helped with the vertical flue on this one by Ryder and Lewis Builders who carried out the roof work.

This is an ATAG Heating Technology i28C combi boiler we installed in Airdrie
last year.

12 months later we are back to carry out it's first annual service. We don't simply "fit and forget". We carry out the yearly service on the vast majority of boilers we install and remain the first point of contact should our customers experience any problems.

Earlier this week at M.Kelly Heating we installed this brand new A rated energy efficient, Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 30kw for our customer in East Kilbride.

The old boiler has had several repairs in the past and this time had stopped giving hot water. Enough was enough for our customer so we were called in to do the replacement.

Upon inspection it was obvious that the heating system water was very dirty, no good for our nice new boiler, so the customer opted for the upgraded Magnacleanse flush we offer.

The new boiler installation and flush was completed in 1 day with all waste removed for recycling and the 10 year warranty activated.

Hopefully we'll be back in 12 months to carry out the servicing on this boiler as we do with the vast majority of our installs.

Last week we completed a full central heating system in Hamilton as part of a full home renovation.

We removed the old floor standing boiler which was installed in 1983, the old water tanks and all the old radiators.

We then installed a brand new Main Eco Compact 30kw combi boiler with 5 years warranty, along with 5 new radiators, fully re-piped throughout in copper pipe, no plastic pipework here! We also enlisted the help of Ryder & Lewis Building Maintenance Ltd to expertly match the roughcast and brick work of the old flue to finish the job off nicely.

Here we have a job completed by M.Kelly Heating last week in Hamilton.

The property had a Gledhill Boilermate thermal store, along with a Potterton Suprima boiler in the kitchen. This set up is quite common in new build houses from around 2005. They are terribly expensive to run and the thermal stores can be unreliable. This is the 3rd combi conversion we have carried out on this particular estate.

The boiler chosen this time was the Main Eco Compact 30kw combi with 5 years warranty. The boiler was sited in the airing cupboard, in place of the old boiler mate thermal store. The new boiler is a fraction of the size of the old tank, meaning my customer has gained cupboard space in the bedroom and in the kitchen.

Baxi have updated their 600 and 800 range of combi boilers to make them even more efficient and user friendly. As a Baxi Approved Installer I like to stay up to date with any new products and technology so today I attended a training event at their facility in Blantyre. The new range will be on sale from May this year. It retains the stainless steel heat exchanger and brass water carrying components that us installers love so much, along with a much more useable interface. I Look forward to installing them!

I received some great service from Baxi yesterday that I'd like to share.

I had a call from a lady I installed a boiler for back in 2018. She said the boiler had stopped working and she was without heating and hot water. The boiler in question was a Baxi 636 combi and still has 2 years warranty remaining.

I contacted Baxi and arranged a warranty call, they advised me an engineer would be there the following day.

Less than 3 hours later the customer called me back to say she received a call from Baxi herself and that an engineer had been, carried out the repair and she was back up and running.

Less than 3 hours from the initial call to the repair being carried out. I'm really pleased with that. Great back up is something I look for in a boiler manufacturer and really provided that on this occasion.
