So much about jewellery making has not changed - we still use the same tools used for centuries , I love my bow drill which twists with a cord .

I had fantastic holiday week in New York ,one of the highlights on the last day was meeting up with another jeweller all and round creative artist and wonderful human Reina Brill.

Reina now runs a fantastic vintage toy shop in City Island with her husband Dan
It’s called
“Dans parents house”
and told me sells joy for a living … go look it up❤️❤️

We both took part exchange programme from our Art schools … I went to San Diego state University - in 1995 !! ( I think )

Reina was there to welcome me and Hannah at the Airport.

She then came and studied for a
Term with us at Duncan of Jordanstone college in Dundee.

We haven’t seen each other for over 23 years !
But it was like yesterday ❤️

I love that we both love still love what we do , we get to meet people and share our enthusiasm about it and that it also connects us to our local communities.

Feeling nostalgic and very fortunate
what could be better.

Hello June 👋
We are half way through the year !
And the birthstone for this month is Alexandrite.
I use lovely subtle green shade of this stone ,which looks lovely set in 18ct yellow gold.

Sharing some piece’s that are perfect for younger wearers.
These pieces could also be engraved with a short message.
With exam time happening and with that lots of stress and anxiety.
Regardless of the results it is just one aspect of growing forward in life.

There are so many different routes into our careers like many others I didn’t have a conventional route.
Jewellery can help celebrate all the milestones in life.

May brings its birthstone Emerald , what’s not to like 💚💚
It’s Cal’s birthstone so i can claim it !

But really just wear what you love , it’s one of rarest and beautiful gemstones.

My gemstone puzzle rings are one of my signature styles these rings are as individual as you.
They can be personised by choosing your gemstones and adding a message or names dates whatever you wish that fits !

I’m working on my website at the monent and will adding a section to my website showing all the bespoke options that I offer on many different pieces of jewellery that you can customise.

Anyone else been hoping for sunshine all week 🙏 /year …

I have enjoyed the family time I’ve had off this week , Glasgow is a great place to live.
But looking forward to being back in my workshop in the hidden lane tomorrow.

Whichever design make, I often can’t help adding diamonds ❤️🙌 whatever size they always just elevate the piece .
When your a jeweller maker they are the stone you can always rely on , and for the wearer they go with everything.

If Aprils your birthday 🎉 … congratulations then they are also your birthstone .

I source diamonds from many places some are fully traceable.
There also there is a growing interest in lab created diamonds very happy to guide you through all the choices.

An amazing place to visit this Easter.
It's one of the first places that I was excited to exhibit when started my business ,and recently sent them more pieces .You can find some of my jewellery in their beautiful shop.
