We, at ICM have taken on the running of The Zone Youth club in Burnham on sea and recently had our launch event!
As someone who grew up in Burnham, its great to see a space like this still available where kids can have a safe space to play, socialise, and generally just let off steam!
The centre will be run by some of our counsellors, so should any of the kids feel the need to have a chat, we have qualified staff on site to be able to support them.
We have 60 kids registered with the Zone which is fantastic, and shows the demand for it!
It was great to meet the kids, the staff and rediscover my cricketing ability out on the field for several hours……. 🏏
It may be too late for me to make it as a professional, but some of these kids have a shot! 🏏 🏃🏻♂️
Success comes in many different forms 💯
And success to one person, might mean absolutely nothing to another

Ironic that I post this message whilst away on a 2 week European tour around Germany… 🇩🇪 ⚽️ 🍺 🫠
But the message is still clear. Consistency won’t guarantee you success, but lack of consistency will absolutely ensure you DONT succeed!
Stop waiting for the perfect conditions to work and get to it.
We will never have a ‘clear diary’ and I stress this a lot to clients. Life will always throw something at you!
There is very rarely a ‘perfect’ time to start prioritising yourself.
Its easy to put things off…..
But DONT ❌
Just Start!!✅
An example for me and my clients is commit to a level.
2/3/4 sessions a week in the gym? Perfect, if its achievable!
Want to lose 1lb/2lb/3lb a month. Great! If its achievable you’ll maintain it!
As many of you know, time passes us by very quickly (especially as we get older…)

Lucy came into personal training lacking the knowledge and confidence to really be able to push to what she wanted to achieve 🥲

With several months of personal training, we introduced her to a variety of different exercises that aligned with her goals.
From using free weights, bodyweight exercises, kettlebells and machines. Lucy’s knowledge of her surroundings have vastly improved!

Last week I was asked by a former client to host a talk on mental health and fitness to their workplace! 🧠
I have always been passionate about the link between fitness and our mental wellbeing and being able to talk to others about the link and ways they can improve their mental health was so important to me 🙏🏻
I am not a public speaker, but I am passionate about what I do and want to help as many people as I can 👌🏼

Counting calories
Do we need to, in order to lose weight? ⚖️
‘Counting calories is a pain’ 🤬
‘I find it a chore’😓
‘Do I have to weigh everything’🥺
Today we answer those questions ⬇️
Do you need to track your calories to lose weight?
Yes and no🤗
But it helps…..
Tracking your calories (whether that’s every meal or just a few times a day/week) will give you a greater insight into your eating habits.
It will show you if your portion sizes are too big and how much we are operating by (presuming we are trying to lose weight)
However, at peak we have had plenty of success with clients losing weight WITHOUT COUNTING CALORIES 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Losing stubborn belly fat?!
I’m going to tell you why those endless crunches aren’t going to help 🥲
When it comes to losing our ‘belly’s’ as so many of us are keen to do! We are looking at reducing at body fat.
To reduce our body fat we need to put ourselves into a calorie deficit.
Eg. Consuming less calories than our bodies require. And this can be done through a combination of reducing our food intake and increasing our energy expenditure through exercise.
Sadly. We don’t get to choose where we lose our fat from..
Our bodies will draw energy from our far stores all over our body! Not just the areas we wish to lose it!
So by focusing on a calorie controlled diet. You can make the first steps to begin to lose that fat 👌🏼
