Hi Everyone,
We are still having issues with our phone line thanks to BT. After 7 weeks, they have given us a temporary landline number whilst they try and swap our original number over. Any business thinking of swapping to BT Business VoIP system be warned as they have left us high and dry for 7 weeks with no explanation or resolution. The last call handler I spoke to said that there are 100's of businesses like us with the same issue because it's new technology. It's such a long while since we last posted on our page so I felt it would be a good idea to reconnect with you all.

First of all, thank you for your continued support and to all of our followers on this page, we can't tell you how appreciated your patronage of our business is!

The workshop has been incredibly busy its almost hard to know where to begin!

Its really good to see so many Saab vehicles still on the roads being used and enjoyed and of course to see so many Saab enthusiasts and owners bringing their beloved cars to us for some TLC.

We continue apace with servicing, repair and general maintenance with a full diary keeping us busy. We have a number of Classic Saabs in for some much needed restoration which whilst time consuming, is incredibly rewarding to keep these amazing vehicles in tip top condition and long may it continue!

We have been very busy as summer is upon us with our Air Conditioning services which have proved absolutely invaluable to many customers and it is with this in mind that we would like to offer to all of you a totally free Air Conditioning Health Check at our premises in Glossop. We are also very happy to extend this service to any non Saab vehicles, so if you or anyone you know would like a free check, please don't hesitate to contact us or call at the Garage to book in.

It's been a while since we last posted on our page, life at the Garage has been incredibly busy and its been a crazy if very welcome time of late!

I will provide a full update over the next few days or so, however I did want to announce that our incredible Saab 900 Turbo 16 'Ruby' is available for sale again.

In the spirit of honesty we had sold the car provisionally and have stored it here at the garage whilst the new owner got organised. Unfortunately the new owner has been taken ill and is no longer able to complete the purchase and his family have asked us to put the car back up for sale.

Hi all.

We hope you're all keeping fit and well.

Sincerest apologies for not posting before today, we've had so much going on at the garage and beyond and this is the first opportunity I've had to update the page.

I have also just returned from a much needed break which incorporated a few days holiday in Cornwall and then up to the Saab National event in Somerset.

Many thanks to everyone I got to speak with there, it was lovely to see some familiar faces and some new ones too! We hope you enjoyed the weekend and festivities celebrating all things Saab!

Very much looking forward to next years event and I must say a huge thanks to the organisers for putting on such a great festival that is still as brilliant and much attended, to the Saab calendar.

Walking back in to the Garage this morning, I was greeted by an incredibly busy workshop and an incredibly busy diary, so if there is anything that you may need regarding servicing, maintenance and/or an MOT, please would you contact us sooner rather than later as the diary is very busy indeed!

Air Conditioning servicing is as busy as ever so again if your own system isn't working as it should then please don't hesitate to contact us in the first instance. Apparently there is another very hot spell on the horizon so its imperative that your Air Con is cold and working!

We hope that you're all keeping fit and well and enjoying the Summer Sunshine! 🌞

We are aware that the past few days and indeed the next few days have been, and are going to be incredibly warm, so please look after yourselves. We are open as usual and everyone here at the garage is staying hydrated and doing their best to keep out of the direct sun, so please try and do the same if you are able too.

Last week at the garage, our Air Conditioning services and check overs were literally 600% higher than they are normally! If you must drive in this heat and you are experiencing any issues with your Air Conditioning, please don't hesitate to contact us here at the garage in the first instance and we will do everything we can to help.

We have state of the art equipment available that is able to detect any issues as well as re-gassing your system to enable you to have ice cold air in your vehicle. 🥶😆

This applies to all vehicles not just Saab, so if your having any issues or doubts with any of your vehicles, please don't hesitate to give us a call.

We enjoyed a very busy week again last week and our diary is incredibly busy for the forthcoming weeks, so again if you need a Service or any Maintenance and/or Repairs, or your MOT is due, may we ask you to call and book in as soon as possible as the diary is continuing to be filled.

Last week also saw two retail Saabs leaving us and going off to their delighted new owners, its always such a pleasure to have such discerning customers and we are able to provide such high quality used Saab cars, we wish them many miles of happy motoring.

Sorry we’re a little late with the weekly update, things have been very busy here at the Garage since our last post, although we can’t and won’t complain in the slightest!

Wow, where to start!

The past week continued very much as the weeks before with Servicing and Repairs plus one or two of our usual unforeseen curveballs. We also serviced a number of non-Saab vehicles, which we are definitely seeing an increase in here at the Garage. We are able to Service and Maintain pretty much all vehicles these days so if you do have a non-Saab vehicle that needs servicing, maintenance, repairs or an MOT etc, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we’d be delighted to assist you.

The past week also saw the completion of one of our restoration projects to a beautiful Classic Saab 900 Turbo. To see this work come to fruition has been very rewarding for all of us here at Saabtec and the love and dedication of our staff in working on the car has been second to none. The car will soon be with its proud new owner and will no doubt be around for many years to come.

From the old to the new, we have also completed the preparation for sale of a beautiful last generation Saab 9-5 which will be coming up for sale over the next few days. We hope you've had an enjoyable weekend and the fine weather (depending on your location of course!😎).

A little late with the update unfortunately but needless to say we are as busy as usual here at Saabtec.

Its funny but even though the nature of the business is very much the same, every day is completely different and although our days are carefully planned with pre-booked appointments, there are always a few daily curveballs that crop up too.

This is where the team here always quickly adapt to the situation, pulling out all of the stops in ensuring our customers are taken care of as quickly and as efficiently as possible. So please rest assured that if you do need us in an emergency we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Anyway back to business!

The past week has seen our regular servicing, maintenance and repairs continue apace, along with the ongoing restorations to a couple of classic Saabs we're currently working on.

One thing we have noticed is a considerable increase in the number of Air Conditioning services we are carrying out, especially given the warmer weather.

With that in mind, if you feel that your own Air Conditioning isn't working as it should, then please don't hesitate to contact us and book your car in for an Air Conditioning check on our state of the art equipment, we'll have you Ice Cold in no time!🥶😆

Well as another week draws to a close here at Saabtec we hope you've been enjoying the Sunshine and making the most of the good weather.

We've had another full week here at the workshop with the week seeing us working mainly on mechanical repairs, servicing, MOT's and a couple of Breakdown Recoveries being bought in to us.

One of the broken down vehicles wasn't a Saab but we were able to use our expertise and excellent mechanics to sort out the problem and repair the vehicle back on to the road in less than 24 hours, much to the owners delight.

Its always worth baring in mind that whilst we are first an foremost Saab, we are also able to provide servicing and repairs to all makes and model of vehicle, so if you have anything you'd like us to have a look at for you, then please don't hesitate to contact us.

A long time ago in a Saab Factory far far away!

For all of you Star Wars fans out there in Saab Land and beyond it would appear that the 96 has an allegiance to 'The Imperial Empire'!!!

After all of these years we finally noticed that the trusty and evergreen Saab 96 V4 has a hidden secret! - its actually two vehicles in one!

With the centre lever for the Heating Control Panel in the raised position, the 96 remains the everyday Saab Classic car that it is!

However, it would appear when the lever is moved to the lowest position the car 'decloaks' and becomes an Imperial T.I.E. Fighter no less!

So any 96 owners we advise caution and beware you're not chased down by a Saab 9-3 Turbo X-Wing!
