Nothing we haven't said already in our previous post but again a huge thank you for all the support we received since our announcement.
Saturday was our last service and we are now closed for good.
We will take a well deserved break and we will put all our lovely furniture, equipement and decor available for purchase. So watch this space, you will have the opportunity to have a bit of Antiques café in your house.
End of a chapter for us, but still plenty more to go.

Coffee beans can be kept in the freezer to maintain their freshness.

Having seen so many posts lately about small businesses shutting down, it is with heavy heart that we need to let you know that Antiques Café is following that very sad trend.
We opened our beautiful café in early 2021, with the ambition to create in Godalming a space where people can come together and be part of a community. Unfortunately, shortly after, a wave of large coffee chains opened on the high street, coupled with the inflation and the ongoing energy crisis. Despite our best efforts, it's time for us to recognise that we can’t continue fighting what we cannot control.
We are extremely proud of what we've built and express immense gratitude to our amazing and loyal customers over the last few years. And cannot stress that enough. You have all been a pleasure to serve! Antiques Café will officially close its doors on Saturday 30th December. We hope you will continue supporting us until then..
Please also consider supporting your local businesses as Godalming wouldn't be the same without its independent shops, which add character to our town.

We will open from 8am to 2.30pm, Tues to Fri and 9am to 2.30pm on Sat.

This year, we will open from the 26th Dec to Sat 30th Dec from 9am to 2.30pm.

Not too long before Christmas...

Two Christmas wreath workshops will take place at the café on Sat 2nd Dec & Wed 6th Dec.
2hrs workshop with the very talented , from 10am to 12pm.

Tickets can be purchased directly at the café for 60£ per person or via eventbrite (link in bio - booking fees will apply). A hot drink and pastry will be served upon arrival.

Only 8 people per worshop.

We are taking a break at the end of this month. The café will be closed from Mon 28th Aug and we will be back on Tues 5th Sept.
Give us a visit before our break and make sure to stock up with our coffee beans as they are available for sale.

We will be closed this Tues & Wed (6th & 7th) for maintenance.

On Wednesday, we are turning 2, can you believe it!
This past year has been tough on most of us with the cost of living crisis, so we feel so privileged to have such loyal & lovely customers.
We converted what used to be an Antiques shop into our lovely café, which was not an easy job. We wanted to build more than just another cafe in Godalming, we wanted to provide a space to the locals with a real community feel.

As a thank you, we will provide some lovely shortbread biscuits to our customers on Wed 10th, so make sure to pop in.
A very little gesture considering how grateful we are for all of your continuous support.
So from Markus, Lillie and the team at Antiques Café, we would like to say a big thank you to all of you.

We are closed this Saturday (6th May) so make sure to pop in this week for your favorite coffee, cake or panini.
We will be open as usual this week from 7.30am until 3pm.

To celebrate Earth month at we have decided to offer to all our customers who bring their reusable cup, 10p off your coffee.

As reusable cups are available at the café, 1 free coffee or tea will be offered for the purschase of one of our reusable cups!

Have you ever wanted to learn to knit?Need a refresher? Learn the foundations of knitting in a new cozy workshop with tutor Sarah North

No experience is necessary for this fun session covering the absolute basics including casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, casting off and weaving in ends. We will also look at reading a pattern and get started knitting your first project: The Knitted Coaster.

2.5hrs workshop incl. 1 drink (tea/ coffee) & 1 cake.

The workshop will take place at the café on Sat 10th Dec from 09.30pm to 12pm with Luca Ceramics. Come get into the Christmas spirit and make porcelain decorations. You will be rolling out porcelain, making texture, use a variety of Christmas themed cutters and learning how to finish the pieces off.
Hot drink & pastry to be served from 9.30am.

Hello everyone, so times are challenging at the moment for small businesses, and we are all going through some uncertain future.
In the past few months, our suppliers have significantly increased their prices and we have tried as much as we can to keep our prices as competitive as possible. We have unfortunately decided to make a few forced changes to the way we are operating to hopefully keep our heads above water.

From the 7th Nov, we will close Sundays and now Mondays. Our opening hours will remain the same Tues to Fri from 7.30am to 3pm and Sat from 9am to 3pm.
We will no longer provide new loyalty cards but will of course honour the ones currently in circulation. So check those bags wallets and purses.
