2024, here we go! We’re back and open for business, serving up some delicious winter warmers to see you through the cooler months. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. Stay tuned, lots of exciting things to come. Here’s to 2024 🙌🏼
A firm favourite on the wine list at the moment, Château de Grand Pré Fleurie ‘Cuvée Spaciale’ ✨ This is an incredibly special wine, with the bright and lifted red-fruited juiciness of Fleurie and the depth and gravitas that we love in Beaujolais. Served in a Magnum, the correct size for festive celebrations. Cheers 🍷
Arguably the best seat in the house in the winter months, a cosy corner by the crackle of the open fire 🔥 Thank you to all those that have come down to see us over the past couple of weeks, it’s been a joy to meet you all and get to know the workings of the pub. Christmas is very much in the air, book your table via the link in our bio or pop in and say hi x

** No Fireworks in Hambledon **
As dog owners, we know how bonfire night fireworks can be a night we dread.
So we wanted to let you know that, here in the village of Hambledon in the Surrey Hills AONB, there are no big firework displays.
So if you do want to get away from the local fireworks, or teenagers setting them off down the road, then come on over and enjoy a night of rest and peace away from it all.

The Merry Harriers
In the picturesque village of Hambledon in the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty, The Merry Harriers has its origins dating back to the 16th century. Our traditional style, welcoming village inn is steeped in history, with the landlord’s names dating back to the early 1700’s written on the pub walls.
Full of character and life, our children and dog friendly inn offers excellent food, award-winning local ales and wines, a lovely garden, first rate accommodation, and an element of the unexpected with our llama treks.
The Merry Harriers is a natural stopover for walkers and cyclists, and the perfect destination for an enjoyable meal with friends, or a relaxing stay in one of our beautifully designed garden and inn rooms, or shepherd’s huts.
Owned by local residents Peter and Lana de Savary, since May 2017, and managed and run by Jake, we look forward to welcoming you and sharing the charm and comfort of this historic English inn.
