Jangle pop. Goole. "I love it when I find a band name worse than my own" Guy Garvey - BBC 6 Music

24/12/2023

Wishing you a Merry Christmas - from our twelve string to yours 🎄❄️🎅

18/12/2023

Thanks to everyone who entered the Xmas Raffle. We've emailed everyone who was lucky enough to win a prize - anyone who didn't, please rest assured that you've really helped us out to get ready for 2024.

2023 was a great one; a highlight being Humber Street Festival (pictured) which was a great day and an amazing crowd. It always makes us proud to represent Goole (& Cas, alright!) when we're out and about - there's a lot of talent here and more to come so keep supporting all those luvvie-duvvie, snowflake arty types whenever you can. It means the world to musicians and artists and it takes hardly anything to make a genuine difference. What would the world be like without people going out of their way to entertain?

We couldn't do it without people getting behind us, listening, buying records, coming to gigs, sharing videos etc etc so again, thank you.

Hoping 2024 has some more positive steps and chances to get out and about to find new fans. We've got some new ideas knocking around already for album 6 so watch this space.

Have a good Christmas and New Year, everyone.

See you in the new year. Sandra's Wedding.

14/12/2023

Hello to all! A quick word from three very wise men to say "Thanks" to everyone who has entered our Xmas Raffle thus far. We have kept it rolling a little longer so as many people as possible can enter.

There are loads of cool prizes including a ONE OFF marbled amber copy of The Hopeful Boy Replacement Service, a copy of Banana Bread, a Jack Fultons/Sandra mash up football shirt, a Borussia Dortmund inspired Sandra football shirt, a one off 'Carpet Samples' book which has all our artwork and behind the scenes in it, cassettes, fashion tees, one off posters etc etc. Loads of chances to win so head to the link on this frankly absurd image.)

Forget Frankincense, Balls to Myrrh, it's not Christmas unless you're in the Sandra Xmas raffle. Any questions, stick them in the comments. The draw will be made on Saturday 16th. Good luck and get involved!

03/12/2023

On the third day of Sandra, my true love gave to meee... A snide Beatles/Sandra mash-up teeeeeee. A test pressing of the Hopeful Boy and a one off marble vinyl copyyyy. (These are going to get very bloated as we make our way through this next week or so.)

Thanks to everyone who has entered so far. Tickets available at our Bandcamp store, we will add a link in the comments. DM us if you don't use Bandcamp/PayPal etc and you want to enter and we can sort something out. It's 12 individual prizes so 12 chances to win and support local, unsigned music in the process.

You'll be the talk of the town in this one off statement piece. "I think Sandra's Wedding are bigger than Jesus..."

02/12/2023

On The Second Day of Sandra, My True Love Gave To Me... A Test Pressing of The Hopeful Boy Replacement Service and a One Off Marble Copyyyy.

Head to our Bandcamp to have a chance of winning this test pressing...

01/12/2023

WIN!

You can win this one-off, orange and black marble copy of The Hopeful Boy Replacement Service vinyl by entering the raffle on our Bandcamp page.

There are test pressings, posters and other prizes - just £3 a ticket.

01/12/2023

It's December.... On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave (sent?) To me a one off marbled copy of The Hopeful Boy Replacement Service.
That's right, 12 days of amazing prizes being rolled out from now on with the draw being made on the 13th. Grab a ticket at our bandcamp store or send payment to PayPal.me/sandraswedding with the number of tickets you want, your name, contact number and email.
ONE ticket is £3, FIVE tickets are £10 and TEN tickets for a chance to win one of 12 prizes is £20.
Anyone who gets themselves a ticket will receive a download code for a bonus track which didn't quite make the latest album but we still are very much proud of, 'Farewell (To The Hopeful Boy)'.
So, get into the festive spirit, support local music and get your name in the hat for some first class b***y. We will be back every day for 12 days so think on... Merry Christmas.

It's been a real thrill to be tagged in your posts/comments and seeing the records land this week. Thanks for listening.
If you've not ordered a copy yet, grab one here:

Full circle. What might start out as a foggy notion or the crumb of an idea for a song discussed over a pint at the pub evolves into a late night practice session, trying to channel an elusive riff to pull out of the ether and on to a Rickenbacker twelve string that suits the song. Those plucked strings, sensations and vibrations get recorded, travel down some wires and end up several months later getting pressed onto a record, which in turn, when spun at the correct speed, sends those said same vibrations back out in the form of a, hopefully coherent, song. Now it's all done it's really nice to be able to share these vibrations with you all on a full circle.

(Could have just said "we've a new record out, that happens to match Castleford Tigers colour scheme, please buy it" but here we are.)

We're literally posting them out as we speak to anyone who has ordered. Thanks for your patience and support.

🟠🟠🟠Awooga, Awooga. The goods have arrived so huge thanks to everyone who's already ordered a copy of The Hopeful Boy Replacement Service. Your patience is much appreciated and we hope the wait will be worth it as these delicate 12" discs of love start peppering doormats from Glasgow to Georgia, Gleno to Goole, Ancona to Indiana, Hartlepool to Altenberge, Wakefield to San Mateo, Rickmansworth to Toronto. It's a Sandra World and you're just living in it. Or ON it if you, like the band, believe that the earth is actually flat. Do some research!

If you haven't already ordered one and you'd LIKE one, please head to our bandcamp store and you'll find them in the 'merch' section. There are standard black, as well as the pictured National Coal Board Orange. We'll stick a link in the comments below.

If you've enjoyed the album then buying a record is the best way to support us going forward. Much love. Thanks Again. 🟠🟠🟠

Huge, huge thanks to everyone who came along to Howden Social Club on Saturday and made it a wonderful evening. We hope you all enjoyed it - if it wasn't for people making the effort then there'd be nothing in it for us so again, thanks. Pelico and Offbeat Band were amazing and I'm sure they'll both be back in the future.

There are 9 of the limited edition posters (pictured) still available if anyone left without one and fancy one to frame up as a nice memento. If you do, drop us a message! First come, first serve! £10 a POP. Bargain. Lovely quality paper stock... (I hope Facebook's servers will be able to deal with the strain on their servers.)

We're at The Mulberry, Goole, next Saturday for the Phoenix Community Radio - Goole anniversary bash. Free entry from 7pm to see ShedJam The Shuffleton C00lies and our good selves. This will be our last 'full band' gig of the year! We do have a couple of little acoustic things coming up which we will announce in the coming weeks.
Also, we're doing a an acoustic turn supporting the legendary Ian McNabb at Howden Shire Hall on Saturday 4th November. You can get tickets at their website.

Mercí!

14/10/2023

🟢🟢Doors in just over an hour at Howden Social Club, music to kick off about 8.10. Three great acts. There's about 10 tickets on the door so if you're planning on coming make it sooner rather than later. Should be a great night.🟢🟢

13/10/2023

Tomorrow, Howden Social Club. We've done 20 limited edition posters to celebrate the event that we're going to FLOG on the night for a very, very cool £10 each. A slice of history; they'll look smart all framed up on the wall of a BEAL/WARD/PERSIMMON/BELLWAY/BARRATT home*.
Looking forward to what should be a top night. Offbeat Band and Pelico also playing and they'll be amazing, as always.

A few tickets still available from Howden Social Club and The Hop Cavern.

*Posters also compatible with houses built before the year 2000.

09/10/2023

Not long now until we return to Howden Social Club for a knees-up. Saturday 14th October, doors 7.30pm. Tickets have been whittling away so thanks to everyone who's bought one thus far! There are literally a few left at The Hop Cavern and not many left at Howden Social Club to purchase.

If anyone wants a couple putting to one side, message sooner rather than later because it's likely they'll go before Saturday.*

Give Offbeat Band and Pelico a listen and a follow before Saturday, looking forward to seeing them, too. Three bands for the price of posh oven pizza?? It can only be HOWDEN!

*The band reserve the right to pass judgement on people living within 1km of Howden Social Club asking us to put them a ticket aside.

05/10/2023

We went to Middlesbrough earlier this week to visit a pressing plant and watch our records in the process of being manufactured, which was great fun. We probably looked like a terrible version of "How It's Made" wondering around.

Looking forward to getting the records out soon - and if you know any record stores who fancy having us for a little instore acoustic gig, drop a message in the comments below 👇

29/09/2023

Newcastle! We're delighted to be playing at The Caper tonight at 9pm with Jen Dixon and King Bees. Really looking forward to it, if you're in the toon it'd be great to see you there 👇

25/09/2023

Aloha! We're looking forward to 14th October when we'll be back in HOWDEN for what should be an amazing night. This may well be the last chance to catch us before we have a little break from playing live.
We're joined by the amazing Offbeat Band - a Howden band with an amazingly bright future, they're already making big waves. Also playing are Pelico - all the way from Eboracum. But don't worry, they haven't come to raid and pillage! They've come to play lovely tunes on their acoustic guitars.

Tickets are limited to 140 and are available at Howden Social Club and The Hop Cavern.

Carefully BIC your big bald head in the shower, squeeze into your crispest Fred Perry on, pump five spritzes of Sauvage, slide that big brown distressed leather belt through the loops of bootcut jeans that could pass for bell-bottoms, give the babysitter enough for a SMALL pizza and come see us! Women and men with hair are also more than welcome.

20/09/2023

Hull! We're excited to be playing in you twice this week, firstly tomorrow evening at Trinity Live where we'll be taking to the stage at 8:15pm for what is always a great evening, and then we're at Pearson Park Live on Saturday 23rd at 4:00pm.

We're sharing the bills with some great artists, really look forward to seeing you all there. (Likely to find Jonny loitering by the pizza place to be exact...)

06/09/2023

"What's that big bright thing in the sky?" Hi all, hope you're all well. Thanks to everyone who has been listening to and enjoying the new album, we have some more videos coming up soon. The vinyl orders should also be pressed up very soon, too so anyone who has pre-ordered one, keep an eye out and thanks for your patience.

This SATURDAY 9th September there is a great event in our very own Goole. An all day celebration of locally and nationally renowned artists: Sid's Famous Busker Nights Presents, The Quintinary! (Try saying that after eight Neck Oils...)

Former Inspiral Carpets frontman Tom Hingley will be kicking the festivities off and will be followed by an amazing line-up of local talents including Sandra's Wedding, Molly Curtis Music, The Numbers, Luke Flear, Soul Revolver, The Marbleheads; Plus, headlining acts The Quicksilver Kings of Hull, and The Palava, hailing from York. There's also Offbeat Band, Eve Thomas Music, The Blackcoats and more. The event is at The Junction, Goole, 1pm onwards. Two stages of live music, food, drink and more.

We're on stage at 8.45.

Being completely honest, the price of £15 would be enough to see Tom Hingley so for that price to be able to chill out all afternoon and evening, see amazing local bands and give them some support, what more could you ask for? One last hurrah for Summer. Sid's "Famous Events"

We had fun on Friday at Tribfest Music Festival in the unsigned tent despite the weather - cheers for having us and to everyone who came to watch our set.

Cheers Humber Street Sesh - what a special day in Hull.

It was a real privilege to be given the platform to play to so many lovely people and share the stage with some of our favourite artists - it was a memorable one and a personal band highlight for sure.

Thanks to anyone and everyone who took the time to check out our set.

It's been an exciting few days. Big thanks to everyone who was at our launch gig on Thursday in Pontefract - it had a bit of everything and was a memorable and special evening. You even got to see Joe go electric (Judas!) The CAT Club is a truly special thing, and they put on a top evening.

We were thrilled to make our Radio X debut last night with Post Disneyland Blues getting a spin on X-Posure with John Kennedy - you can listen to it again here:

Today we're at the big dance on Cuban Pete's stage at Humber Street Sesh - you can catch us there at 2:05pm following on from the main man and our good friend Jackson D. Get a wristband and get on down for what will be a top day of live music.

Do your best Steve McClaren impression and bring your brolly. It's given rain.

10/08/2023

Our album launch gig tonight at The Cat Club in Pontefract is now sold out.

Doors are at 7pm and we'll be trying to make this a really nice evening - we'll be doing a raffle with some limited and unique prizes along with a few other bits and bobs to mark the evening and release of The Hopeful Boy Replacement Service. Can't wait to see you there.

If you've not already got your ticket for Saturday's Humber Street Sesh then make sure you grab one. We'll be playing at what is really a special and brilliant event in Hull on Cuban Pete's stage from around 2pm. Really hope to see you there!

Enjoy the sun and take care of yourselves X

Huge Thanks to everyone who came to The Charter Club, Saturday night. The brilliant Mason Durose set the tone, The Marbleheads took us on a musical odyssey and then we very much enjoyed rounding off the night and seeing everyone have a good time. It was brilliant that we sold out the online tickets, as well as the door, especially for three original artists. It doesn't seem much paying a fiver and taking a few hours out to come show your face but it really does mean the world. Thanks again to The Charter for having us and all you lovely lot. We're on the Culture Train next week which is sold out, as is our album launch gig at The CAT Club in Pontefract on Thursday 10th August - so anyone wanting to see us in the near future, the best bet is Humber Street Festival on Saturday 12th August, Cuba Pete Stage, 2.00pm. Get a big bag of cans for the train. We will stick out a list of all our live dates coming up over the next few months later this week.

Thanks Again.

And don't forget to listen to our new album, download or buy a copy on vinyl...

📸 Matt Gerard Krebs - cheers.
