We all know we need to protect ourselves from the sun, but did you know that protecting yourself is more than just sunscreen!? 😎

Here’s three OTHER ways to protect yourself from the sun:

1️⃣Cover up! Wear a hat/coverup- this prevents sunscreen from getting into your bloodstream, and fabric doesn’t wash off or need re-application.

2️⃣Go slow! If you are in an area where you don’t get yearly sun exposure, build your time in the sun up gradually. This actually helps your skin produce more melanin naturally which will offer more sun protection!

3️⃣Eat your veggies: The vitamins and antioxidants in veggies help to protect cells from the effects of UV radiation. Leafy greens and tomatoes are particularly good.

How to make healthy popsicles full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals!

Directions: Cut up pineapple (or use frozen pineapple chunks), place ingredients in a blender, and blend until liquified. Pour mixture into the popsicle molds and freeze until solid at least 3-4 hours.
Enjoy, preferably next to a pool while relaxing.. Not only are these popsicles delicious, but you can feel good about all the healthy ingredients.
Healthy doesn’t have to be hard or tasteless! You can enjoy your popsicle and eat it too.
