Friends of Fred the spread

It’s a sad time that after 40 years I’ve decided to call it a day and will now be taking on a new career path.. plastering has been my life till now but it’s time to move on. Big thank you to all my customers for the one time or multiple times you’ve used me,, It been a pleasure and at times it’s been a complete mare,, but I always had the radio and tea.. I am not taking any more work on and will be deleting this page or at least hiding it till I know I enjoy the job as much as working for and with you people,, happy days..

Wow it’s been a bit quiet lately what with the cost of living and and school holidays but I’m all caught up on my paperwork,, so looking for some plastering,,, happy days,,

A couple of days skimming a bed room is turning in to a slightly bigger job,, major break down of the top coat of plaster finish going back to the original render.. just see how much comes off with just a gauging trowel,, happy days,,

One day plastering this week,, and a few days painting bedrooms for a customer unable to do it herself,, this painting ain’t as hard as plastering,, happy days,,,

So that was as a hot week,, no plastering fortunately just a few DIY jobs for some customers that don’t have the tools or the physical abilities to do them,, painting a bedroom,, supplying and fitting plinth to a kitchen,, keeps me busy,,

It’s a lid kinda day,, shades down, radio on, tape on,, water filled and ready to go,,, oooo it’s gunna be a hot one jumping around,,, happy days,,

My play room for this week,, over board ceiling, plaster all areas,,, should keep me busy for a bit,,, boy o boy it’s a warm one…

It’s a knee pad kinda Friday,,,, cut out and re grout a kitchen floor,,,
Tiles laid a few years ago by the kitchen fitter.. customer thought there was crumbs on her floor all the time,, turns out it was the tile adhesive as the grout was only against the tile and not even full thickness,, dug out re-grouted customer happy time for home…

One from this weeks jobs in Stanford Le Hope.. only a little one but boy was it trouble.. still all sorted ready for the sparky to fit spot lights,,, happy days,,

A little one from earlier this week,, customer did the board work. Did a couple of rooms for this customer last year and will probably be doing a couple more later this year once their ready.. happy days..

Wow it’s been a while since I posted anything on here,,,

Wow what a hot day. Lucky for me I was working last night on a second string to my bow. So it’s an easy day today pricing up work and find cool area to to sit,,
Looking forward to some rain, happy days..

Hi all,,, yes it’s been a while but have been super busy but now that load is slowing down, so taking bookings again, in the mean time enjoy the sun people you know you’ll be moaning when it’s cold and the heating costs an arm and a leg,,, happy days..

Nice little bedroom ceiling today in Basildon,, it’s a bit grey out there but hey radio is on tea in hand, happy days,,,
