π HOW MASSAGE HELPS EASE REFLUX π
Baby massage is a gentle and calming practice that offers a surprising range of benefits for your little one, including potential relief from reflux symptoms. Here's how:
π Improved Digestion: Certain massage techniques can stimulate the digestive system, aiding the movement of gas bubbles and promoting smoother digestion.
π Relaxation: The calming effect of massage can reduce stress hormones associated with discomfort. This can make your baby feel more relaxed and less fussy.
π Bonding: The act of massage strengthens the parent-child bond, fostering a sense of security and well-being in your baby. This can be particularly helpful during times of discomfort.
If you'd like to find out more about how massage can help with your littles ones reflux, have a look at the blog on my website - www.themamaspring.com/blog
π The bags are packed and we are back at Artiez tomorrow!! π

π I have now popped all PAYG Spaces on the website - perfect for when you don't want to commit to the whole block or if you have a spare hour over the summer and fancy an air conditioned room (Artiez on a Monday!!). π
π Check out the booking page of the website for spaces - www.themamaspring.com/bookonline - and remember, there are only ever 1 or 2 drop in spaces available for each session, just to ensure the groups stay nice and small π

π UNDERSTANDING REFLUX π
You might have heard of reflux at a baby group or at in one of your mummy group chats, so what is it?
Reflux, also known as gastroesophageal reflux (GER), occurs when stomach contents back up into the oesophagus, the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach. This can cause a burning sensation (heartburn) and discomfort for your baby. While it's usually harmless and resolves on its own within a few months, reflux can be caused by a number of underlying issues and can lead to feeding difficulties, fussiness, and interrupted sleep.

If you know someone who deserves a treat, whether they cannot afford to book a whole block of classes, or maybe they've been through a tough time and deserve a little bit of love - just tag them below (there's no need to explain why they deserve it, unless you want to) and I will choose one of you tomorrow.
Have you found your mum tribe yet?
These ladies have all found their tribe at my classes, where the conversation flows naturally, you can contribute as much or as little as you want, but I guarantee you'll leave feeling like you're not alone!! You can then continue the chat and arrange play dates or coffee and cake meet ups over our WhatsApp Group between classes!!
DM me or check out the website www.themamaspring.com to find out where you can slot into my timetable and meet the mums of your dreams!!

π Forget the first roll! Celebrate the mini-victories that get your baby there! π
These pre-roll milestones are all about building the strength and coordination your little one needs to be a rolling champion.
Swipe through to see what to watch for: tummy time twists, push-ups, big reaches, and even those accidental acrobat moments! π
Every little win is a step closer to that first magical roll. β¨
π The journey is just as important as the destination!! π
π TINY TRIUMPHS FOR THE WIN π
Here is what to watch for:
π The Tummy Time Twist: Tummy time isn't just about neck strength anymore. Look for your baby lifting their chest and head high, they will start to do this, eventually turning their head from side to side - this is a key step!
π The Push Up: Keep an eye out for your little one pushing up, using their forearms and keeping their shoulders and head fairly stable. Not only is this giving them a whole new outlook on the world, it gives them the strength that they need in their shoulders to perform their roll.
π The Big Reach: Curiosity is a powerful motivator! If your baby spots a toy just out of reach while on their tummy, they might start reaching with their whole body, attempting to get closer. This reaching practice helps them shift their weight and prepare for the rolling movement.
π The Accidental Acrobatic: Sometimes the cutest moments are unplanned. Notice if your baby accidentally ends up on their back during play. This might be a sign they're getting close to figuring out the mechanics of rolling intentionally.

While embracing this new pregnancy, there's no need to forget your lost child. Here are some ways that you could honour their memory:
π¦ Plant a tree or create a memory box.
π¦ Include your lost child in your pregnancy announcements - see the photo below for our pregnancy announcement, which we posted during Baby Loss Awareness Week, on the Wave of Light day and time, including the 5 candles for our 5 losses.

π PREGNANCY AFTER A LOSS π
As soon as you see those two little lines and know that you're pregnant again, everything changes. You can't help but think of the future, automatically working out roughly when the baby will be due, thinking of how to announce it, how your family are going to react, how old they'll be at Christmas and so much more.
But then that guilt hits, you know that this should be a joyous time, filled with excitement and anticipation. But after a previous loss, it's not quite that simple. It's completely natural to feel a complex mix of emotions that go far beyond simple happiness.
You might be wondering:
π Is it okay to feel anxious, scared, nervous, worried?
π Can I allow myself to hope, or will I just be setting myself up for more heartbreak?
π How can I respect my lost child, while embracing this new pregnancy?
If you're experiencing this whirlwind of feelings, know that you're not alone. Pregnancy after loss is a highly emotional experience, and there's no right or wrong way to feel.

π Who are you celebrating today?π
This is the day to show gratitude to the dads, step-dads, like-a-dads, grandads, wannabe dads...
I'm celebrating Liam Springall for being the silliest, funniest, most caring daddy to our girls and my own dad, who is not only the most supportive dad I could ask for, he's the best Ra Ra to his grandchildren ππ
Thank you to Debra Bee Photography for capturing these three to perfectly π
π Which one is the lie?π
One of these is so often said but is a complete lie... I bet you can spot it a mile off!!
π Get read for some signing with your singing!! π
