I Make Amazing Spaces
Female tiler & decorator local to Todmorden - making amazing spaces is a real passion of mine.
Some of my customers enjoy doing bits of decorating themselves, or they like bits that are already there so don't want to change everything. In these photos you can see examples of where I've been brought in to do 'part decorating'. Photos 1-3, the customer enjoyes doing much of the decorating, but got me in to wallpaper 2 of the walls. Photos 4-6, again the customer liked painting but didn't want to do the woodwork, so that's where l came in. Photos 7-10, the customer only wanted to change the mauve colour into the green, which they much preferred. Perhaps you want to change your walls but are happy to leave the rest. Feel free to message me with your requirements.
Splash of colour and freshen up for this home office. # # #
Looking forward to going back to this house this week for more decorating.
The customers wanted a new colour that would better suit their cottage, plus brightening up their ceiling. Before and after pictures included.
My customers lovely new shower room, l love seeing this stage.
This shower room is becoming a bathroom. More wall and floor tiling from me. Always wanted to do something with the wood effect tiles, and now I have! Wet areas fully tanked. Plumbing by the Gas and Waterworks.
A bit different from the last one I posted, this is a bathroom that I finished last week. Painting and tiling done by me, plumbing by The Gas & Waterworks. #
Recently finished the glass block wall. This is the smallest room I've done, 1.99m2, it's also my favourite! With a bit of thought, it amazes me what can be done in a small space! Plumbing by the Gas & Waterworks, everything else done by me.
This was a charity shop chair my girl wanted. It was only a few quid, but was looking a bit tatty and grubby. So over the Christmas holidays, I re-covered it for her in fabric to match the curtains I made for her not so long back. I used the old fabric to make templates to re-cover the seat and re-stitch the back, and now it's like a brand new chair. A job well done if I do say so myself!
Hope all of my lovely customers have had a very Merry Christmas break, and your year ahead is filled with happiness, joy and fun! Looking forward to more decorating in the New Year!
Door painting, after and before. From cream to white satinwood after undercoat with primer.
Goodbye to the old peach colour! Shades of grey in Armstead paint were chosen instead, more in keeping with the carpet. Before and after pictures included.
Graham and Brown Flight of Swallows Daybreak bespoke mural, with Armstead vinyl matt on the walls, and Armstead waterbased gloss on the skirting and doors with undercoat primer.
A teenagers bedroom from recently, changing from lilac to blue using Armstead vinyl matt paint. Enjoying the contrast between the walls and wood.
Got a bit behind showing my recent work as busy, but here's a sneaky look at one of those jobs, changing the room from lilac to blue. The sockets now look like new.
Is someone cutting corners? Due to cracking and loose tiles, the customer got me in to redo the floor. I suspected that the right things hadn't been done underneath the tiles in the first place. When the tiles were lifted, they had originally been put on top of wood rather than tile board, and the adhesive had been dabbed on rather than using a trowel (see last couple of pictures). The floor was given a thorough clean with all old adhesive removed, tile board placed on top, followed by the correct application of adhesive.
The household couldn't stand the mauve colour (last couple of pictures), so they got me in to change it, and wanted the skirting and dado rail to match. They instead chose a dark green to complement the tiles as they were staying put.
Recent tiled toilet in star design. Please contact me on messenger for anything tile or decorating related. Now taking bookings for December and beyond.
Just a small job today, changing the porch from cream to white, plus a feature wall. Things are definitely looking much brighter in there! When I unscrewed the pegs I couldn't get them off, l think they have also been glued. So wallpaper has been cut around them on this occasion.
New white and indigo paint job ready for the new carpet, a shade darker was chosen to match the flooring better. The walls were rough so required lots of filling. Carpet fitting by Paul Glazebrook Carpet Fitting and Handyman Services. New skirting by Sam Brown.
Recent new hall, stairs and landing wallpaper job using a B&Q silver textured wallpaper and matching branch feature wall going up the stairs. Before and after pictures included.
Recently I've been doing a bit of my own decorating at the weekends, except it's much harder to paint my own space - someone needs feeding, or they've hurt themselves, or the washing machine needs emptying and so on. I much prefer doing other people's rooms, where l can crack on uninterrupted for a good amount of time each day. I guess what l am trying to say is employing a good decorator is worth it's weight in gold, and helps to leave you to get on with all the millions of other much needed things around the home. Boxing in done by local person Sam Brown.
This room was a pleasure to paint, although hard not to get distracted by the amazing mural, done by a local artist. Brilliant plastering also done by someone called Niomi, I don't know her personally but if anybody does feel free to tag her.
More pictures from my happy customer now the room is finished with their new flooring. Loving how well the Graham and Brown wallpaper, hung by myself, goes with it.
This guy is super brilliant, he's done a number of jobs for me now, and is one of the most reliable people I've found - definitely worth a share for your handy/flooring needs!
Gorgeous pictures from my customers, who've just got back and put their boat rooms back together after me decorating! I love seeing this stage!!! Feel free to contact me if your space needs a spruce up.
This past week has all been about boat painting. A keen eye and a steady hand were essential for this job.
