Our Director James Mellor, just received this great news from New York!!

Our documentary Film 'RUGBY TOWN' is officially a Quarter Finalist for the monthly film festival - New York International Film Awards - NYIFA 2024 in the best Sports Film category.

This takes the film to an 8 festival tally so far...

We continue to be humbled by the success of this film. Thank you for everyone who has and continues to support us with this. We will find out next month if we were successful in winning. 🏆

Next week we're heading to Milan for another major Film Festival...

We have been officially nominated by the International Jury of “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2024 – 42nd MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST”, the most important Worldwide Festival dedicated to Television, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture - Final of 20 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” has decided to include the movie “RUGBY TOWN” – Section “DOCUMENTARY - TEAM SPORT” – into the list of “NOMINATIONS”. FICTS Federation

We are so proud of what our short documentary film from Halifax is achieving on the international stage.

I’m pleased to announce that our documentary “RUGBY TOWN” is officially a Finalist at the 44th Paladino D’Oro Sport Film Festival. We look forward to attending the festival in December.

The festival is the oldest in the world of sports cinema (1979) promotes the diffusion of sports films and videos, the festival is an international showcase for the large distributions of world cinema, which can meet the productions during Sports Film Week.

The aim of the festival is to promote the best quality of sports image productions; organize meetings between productions, film distributors and mass media, be a teaching tool for schools and universities.

Paladino d'Oro Sport Film Festival

Very 📣 exciting news on “Rugby Town”.

We have been officially selected and will be screened at the FICTS Federation World Championship Final.

Ficts is recognised by the International Olympic Committee and this festival is the Sports Films equivalent of the Oscars.

We are incredibly honoured and grateful to have been selected and invited to Milan in November.

The story of Halifax Rugby League is genuinely resonating around the world, which was one of my main goals when I embarked on this documentary film Project with Linda Kitson from the Halifax RLFC Independent Supporters Trust.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Hanson, whom starred in and supported our documentary film 'RUGBY TOWN'.

We had a fun few days filming in and around Halifax with Peter last year, and only spoke with him a few days ago.

RIP Peter, you will be missed, and our condolences to the family.
