President Kenneth attended Hamilton District Foodbank in September and presented a cheque for £500 from the Rotary Club of Hamilton. This was gratefully received on their behalf by their Manager, Isobel Graham. The funds will go to purchasing non-perishable food items and toiletries to people in need.
During the 2021/2022 crises the Foodbank provided 5910 emergency food supplies to local people, including 2055 children.
Last Thursday Kenneth Miller became our President for 2022/2023. Here he is receiving congratulations from the IPP Bob Hamilton, wishing him a busy and successful year.
Our Fellowship Walk took place in Dumfriesshire this year. Bob Hamilton, Kenneth Miller, Robin Wilkie and Mark Williams trod the highways and byways. The pic is of the walkers gathering at Caerlaverock Castle for a sedate stroll along the banks of the Nith back to Dumfries. The most arduous was day one on the Southern Upland Way when we encountered a hail storm on Crofthead, 640 metres above sea level. Not expected on the 29th May.
PS. On return to Hamilton we all tested positive for Covid but we all lived to tell the tale. The culprit shall remain nameless!

March 2021, a zoom meeting in the days of Covid restrictions. Looks like we had a Cheese & Wine night (minus the cheese). Fun was had by all.
With great sadness we have to announce the death of our great friend and Rotarian, Harry Doyle.
Harry was a pro-active Rotarian, there was no holding him back, involved in every club project from organising litter pick-ups to Young Writer competitions.
He will be greatly missed, not only for his enthusiasm, his humour, his intellect but also for his friendship.
