I am obsessed with the look I created; now is the client's turn to take over the upkeep of this beauty.

◇ I strongly DO NOT recommend using purple shampoos as it will dry out the hair; instead use masks with pigment in it for colour upkeep

◇ avoid hot styling tools as much as it is possible. Always use heat protection products - heat destroys the colour pigments - and the tonner is gone in seconds ( look up my video on how quickly a straightener removes the tonner)

◇Be gentle when brushing, especially when hair is wet!

My guest had a whole "bouquet" of different tones, lines and blotches in her hair, which needed fixing.
Some hours late -voila, there you go, natural-looking outcome.

A while ago, I had red hair, and I loved it. I loved how it made me feel visible, almost naughty 😈
The moral of this story is that your hair makes you feel fabulous whether you have red, blond, black or anything in between. Look after it!

Perfection takes time!!

Now you see beautiful, clean results. Professionally, it took us a touch more than a year to achieve this outcome; it's about seven sessions. A YEAR! In the pictures which follows after, you can see what was the starting point and what I managed to create during the first almost 6-hour session. Nice right?
Only with patience and not rushed appointments this is possible.

I would like to pen one thing down while we are on it. Dear client, if you can't spear yourself long enough appointments for dream hair, note my studio is not suitable for you as the rushed job is not my thing 🙏

For quite a while, we coloured this beautiful hair in a darker shade to cover up natural h-lights, aka grey hair. However, her hair was persistently repelling our advances 🫣
She would leave the studio with beautiful colour and, on return, come back with very light hair even though she followed the correct coloured hair regime ( proper hair shampoo, conditioner)
It was almost like hair told us to bug off and let it be. So, we changed the tactics and went the other way.
Scattered blond streaks blend with natural greys, allowing longer gaps between studio visits.

The moral of this story - don't fight the nature 😘

Not just blond 🍫

I bet that most of you think it is so quick and easy to go from lighter shade to darker. Just apply the chosen colour, and that's it, right? Wrong!

For darker shades to sit correctly and have longevity, there are several steps that your stylist has to do.
Depending on how big the "gap" between the starting point and the finished result is, repigmentation is required. Repigmentation is like a stepping stone or filler ⚒️

You can see the pictures: the last picture is the starting point, the second after repigmentation and the last one is the result once we applied the chosen shade.
Once the colouring algorithm is followed, colour stays ( unless you have significantly damaged, bleached hair at the start; it might take several repigmentation rounds to put and keep colour pigments in).

Due to all of those steps, the cost of "just one colour all over" becomes colour correction, hence the different price tag 💷

When choosing the shampoo, choose it according to your skin type, and choose the conditioner according to your hair type.

Why does it take it so long?

My client likes to have her hair really blond, and she doesn't want total blond; she likes to have some roots. To achieve this look, a ton of foils and time ( precise 2 hours just to put foils in her hair) are required. Plus processing time, toner, hair treatments and styling. And there you have it 4 hours have been spent on this beauty.
