The Parent Hood of Harlow

For half term, Harlow Art Trust’s Velo artists will be teaming up with SportsCool to bring you free family physical activity and art workshops.

Take part in free dance sessions with a Sports Activator at either the Stow or Bishopsfield.

To reward you for your activity, the Velo Artists will guide you to make your own personalised pin badge.

Will your badge be sports inspired, or by Harlow’s sculptures? Whatever you want, it is up to you!

No need to book, all materials provided, just drop in.

Helping your child be school ready 📚

Free craft activities that can support your child’s learning and development, helping them to learn the skills they need to be ready to start school.

🎨 Activities are suitable for children aged 3 years and over and are free of charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Takes place every Thursday during term time from 10.15am to 11.15am, at the Discover Harlow Hub, ground floor, the Harvey Centre, CM20 1XR

We enjoyed a firm favourite activity today - washing Incy down the spout 🕷️

This is great for developing finger and hand muscles strength to get those little hands ready for writing and holding a pencil.

Looking forward to doing it all again on Friday in Bishops Stortford. 🤩

🚒 Attention residents and visitors to Harlow town centre 🚒

On Tuesday 17 September, Essex Fire & Rescue Service, will be carrying out a training exercise at Terminus House starting at 11am. If you see smoke in the area there is no need to panic.

What to expect:

🚒 4 to 5 fire engines
💨 The exercise will last between 1 and 2 hours
🚧 Minor disruption and restricted access expected in the area

Please avoid the area around Terminus House from 10.30am. All residents of Terminus House will be informed of any actions they need to take ahead of time.

Realistic training exercises are essential for effective emergency response and working closely with partner organisations helps the fire service manage risks and ensures community safety
