It was a bit of a rush to get on holiday and we almost missed our flights! So sorry for any late replies!

I am away until the end of August now, for people with pre booked appointments this does not affect you.

Any enquiries ongoing or new will be responded to when I return to the UK on 10th August.

Congratulations to the latest lot of follow on class who passed their intermediate good companion awards from the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers)

They have all done so well working on the skills needed the last few weeks.

Can't wait to see how we progress more!

I love Henry.

He previously came to my reactive class, and now copes well with seeing new dogs each week.

He takes a bit of warming up to actually say hi to some of them. But his progress is just amazing 😁

24/06/2024

Pebble and Nellie enjoyed a little run around together after class.

It was lovely to watch them play 😁

23/06/2024

It's my birthday!

Going to spend the morning with the dogs and then out for Lunch!

Hope everyone enjoyed the birthday themed classes this week!

Here's a photo of me sharing my Lassi with a dog in India last year ☺️

22/06/2024

This is Reggie.

He honestly can jump so high I was shocked when I first saw it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

His owners want to go through a few things with him. But with anything it's important to start small and easy and build it up.

This way your dog understands behaviours, and then you can progress them. A lot of the basics go onto helping 2-3 different behaviours and cues so it's important to get them right first 😁

I popped in on my friends dogs the other day but you might know them as

And we all know the rule, if a dog has chosen to nap on you. You don't move πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I bumped into Belle the other day while stopping and chatting to a friend!

How cute! Her owners said she was whining and noticed me from afar so had to come say hi!

She has had surgery lately but I can't wait to see her in classes again soon when she has been given the all clear!

Also I have just done a 12 hour day so please excuse the state of me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I can't believe there is only a month left until I close for the summer!

Each year I decide to take an extended break over the summer and have August off.

It's usually too hot to work with most dogs, and my other passion is travelling so I use that time to explore!

It doesn't mean I'm still not here for help!

I have spaces up until I leave for 1-2-1s and my classes run right up until I go away.

So pop us a message if you need any help or are interested in joining any of our classes!

When I first met Sonny he was slightly nervous of me.

Next time we met he wanted to fully investigate my van and it's contents πŸ˜‚

This may not seem like a lot but for a dog who has been nervous of stepping near or being close to other things this was a big step to show us Sonny is improving in his confidence daily 😁

18/06/2024

Bertie as always being my absolute super star in showing young dogs or nervous dogs to be calm.

Here he is showing Hugo the ropes.

Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend!

I am still away exploring Exmoor with very minimal signal so all messages will be responded to when I return to work Thursday!

Don't worry it's not that sunny today! 🀣 Full on rain!

19/05/2024

Another pointy nose 😍

This is Sonny.
Came with some.help needed for reactivity, but upon meeting him noticing this stems from.npise sensitivity and a nervous little fella.

Can't wait to help him and his owner and watch him grow!

11/05/2024

I am unavailable all this weekend!

I am attending my lovely brother in laws wedding in Italy, so will not be answering any emails, texts or calls while I am away. As I will be too busy celebrating and dancing the night away!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I will be back at work on Monday!

P.S I know its me and Jon in the photo but I love the photo so was a great excuse to post again! πŸ˜†

Barney πŸ’›

He has some good foundation skills but the main thing we are going to work on is recall!

He did fantastic on his first session around distractions. Our next one is at to practice off lead recalls. Secure dog fields are great for this!

03/05/2024

This gorgeous girl is Luna.

We are having a couple of 1-2-1 sessions to help build up a solid recall around distractions.

She is so sweet I could take her home!

Photos from Rachs Rambles's post 28/04/2024

The beautiful little Poppy.

She has had a puppy package with me and we covered all the basics like early socialisation, crate training and how to help her sister Daphne if she is being a little annoying 🀣🀣

Can't wait to see her at puppy classes!

25/04/2024

I've been having some healthier snack alternatives since signing up with

Been giving the dogs odds bits of my carrot and cucumber and now they want some every snack time 🀣🀣🀣 and of course I reinforced it by giving them some. How could I say no!

19/04/2024

Some of the last beginners class at the adventure bark.
Everyone passed their Puppy and Foundation APDT Good Companion Awards.

Frank the sausage dog was nervous to start with so we focussed on building his confidence first and then by the last week was playing around with Pebble and Sonny!

Our two whippets Pebble and Sonny had the chance to explore sighthounds crazy zoomies and how to recall them back when it's calmer.

Our next lot of Beginners starts Saturday 5th of May available to book online now πŸ•

It is with really sad news we have said goodbye to our cockerel Ru today.

We had him since he was 7 days old, given to me as a birthday present from a friend. He was raised by previous chicken Kris, and we never knew he was a cockerel until he crowed at 4am some 4 years ago! (Although Jon will tell you he knew very early saying that chicken is too big to be a girl 🀦🏻). But we couldn't get rid of him so he slept in his box each night and I loved his little leap out the box each morning ☺️

He is going to be sadly missed. He was the ultimate gentleman, and so sweet. Often just plodding around the garden with his girls and enjoying life.

He had some pain relief from the vets earlier today so I am hoping he was pain free when he died. Jon was also with him πŸ’›

I am hoping he enjoyed and loved the life he had with us here.

R.I.P Ru, will miss you buddy!

Anyone else feel the same?

08/04/2024

Hi Minnie πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ»

We have been working with her for a while now and there has been some massive progress.

Yes she has a slip lead on in this photo. After we took this photo we discussed how they work using tension and negative reinforcement and how to practice loose lead and focus without it. I don't expect every dog owner to know everything about dog training (that's what I'm here for!) Sometimes Jo blogs who has had labs his whole life may not always know the correct equipment to use 😏

Can't wait to see how we can help her and her owners even more ☺️☺️
