I have reached 200 followers! Thank you for your continued support. I could not have done it without each of you. 🙏🤗🎉. But that’s maths for you…
Here's one I wrote many many years ago - eccentrically remade for the modern era. My daughter says it is perfect for a dramatic moment on Love Island. What have I become?? 😆
Wait Until Tomorrow Comes (2023), by Andy Thornton from the album Oh I do like to see beside the B-Sides
How have I passed the cold winter nights, you ask?
Well, here are six tracks that I have not released before. I have enjoyed working them up from the demos and turning them into B-sides. Then I came up with that annoying title so I had to release it.
TBH I can never really tell what songs should go on an album, but some of these are rejects by people who filtered songs for recent albums. Spanning some 20 years, mostly recent, give them a listen! And if you like them immediately, please buy them tomorrow (Friday the 4th) as I will somehow get a percentage more of the sales. That means if you buy the album, I will be 24p richer than I would the next day, I think 😀
But as you know, I don’t do it for the money 🥴 or more truly, if I did, I wouldn’t eat.
Enjoy it won’t you?
Oh I do like to see beside the B-Sides, by Andy Thornton 6 track album
A nice man called Dave Watts just posted this 1999 pic of Bruce Cockburn trying to work out how I play such fiendishly clever guitar while Martyn Joseph just despairs. Watch and learn Bruce...😬😬
I have been interviewed! A rare thing 🙏
Interview: Celebrating the music of Andy Thornton MANY people will know Old Harlow resident Andy Thornton as the chief executive of Harlow Foodbank.
Here’s some old shots unearthed last weekend - thanks to Princess Fiona 😀
Here’s a sumptuous track I helped with earlier this year by my top friend Tim Eveleigh. Check out the album! Great tunes, lyrics, the lot 😃

Here is what could be considered my Christmas single! In other words a song that I wrote recently that I am releasing fairly near to Christmas…
A slight departure in style, here is my angry ironic folk song about the stealing of the future by the baby boomer generation. I heard it in my head, so I wrote it, then I recorded it, then I released it, and here it is! It should appear on a streaming site or sales site near you in the next few days. But of course you heard it first 😀. Thanks
Baby Boomer's Last Stand (Not Giving up on It Easy) They couldn’t have seen it coming, but the kids born in the years after the war rebuilt the world in their favour. They created super capitalism, with the ability to steal the future from the children yet to come. The housing market has put new homes out of the reach of only the privileged few, bu...
Here’s one I made earlier. In 1993.
A very fine collection of songs played with great musicians like young Iain Archer, Ewen from Deacon Blue, Mike Haughton from Iona, Nigel Clarke from Hue and Cry, Charlie Irvine from Lies Damned Lies, and many more!
Anyway, I noticed it wasn’t on Spotify and many of the streaming channels as it came out when streaming was something a cold did to your nose.
So have a listen! Every time you do I get 10,000th of a penny.
Here’s a taster of the tunes and links to sites of your choice 😃
Remastered for the modern age by the way 😃
