One home and one away game for our men's sides today.

The 1st XV make the short trip to take on Hertford who sit in 10th place in the table with four wins from their ten games so far. With three of these coming at home, it's certain to be a serious match up at Hoe Lane.

The 2nd XV have a friendly as they welcome Amersham & Chiltern 2s to Redbourn Lane for the 'Derek Wallace Derby' after they answered the call following Luton 2s dropping out earlier in the week.

There's no 1st XV game this week but the 2nds are in action as they make the short journey to Luton to take on Stockwood Park. The 3s also have a rest week.

The final home game of 2023 will be on Saturday 9th December as we host Sudbury at 3pm. This is sandwiched between two all Hertfordshire clashes against Hertford (2nd December, 2.15pm KO) and Letchworth (16th December, 2.15pm KO)

Ahead of the 1st XV game vs Tring on Saturday the club, together with our sponsor Savills, presented a cheque for £20,000 to My Name'5 Doddie Foundation which was raised at the HRFC & Savills Charity Golf Day at The Centurion Club back in September.

Thank you to all of those who took part in the day, sponsored holes and donated raffle & auction prizes. Your support will help fund research into finding effective treatments to motor neurone disease.

Fantastic day at the club yesterday with a pair of home wins on the AGP. ⁣
A try in the final minutes from Freddie Simcott gave Harps the victory over local rivals Tring. ⁣

Whilst the 2s raced into a 36-0 half time lead which was enough to see them through to their first league win of the season. ⁣

Game day for our three senior men's sides. Our 1s and 2s are up the road to take on Oundle.

Oundle have settled in nicely to life in Regional 1 South East and sit 3rd in the league just behind us and have recorded some eye catching results so far this season including a huge 43-9 away win against Bedford Ath last time out.

The 2s will be looking to keep their progress going from recent matches and the 3s will be building on last week's win against Fullers as they travel to take on the The Mount.

Now that the Rugby World Cup is over and done with, there surely can't be a more appetising and keenly awaited fixture than 1st vs 2nd in Regional 1 South East.

Colchester are the visitors to Redbourn Lane and they bring with them a 7 from 7 record so far this season. Harps were victors by the slenderest of margins last time the two sides met.

Not only that, we also have the 3s at home in an early kick off against Fullerians.

The bonus point win leaves us 2nd in the table. There's no 1st XV game this Saturday but get Saturday 4th November pencilled into your diary as we host top of the table Colchester, who are unbeaten so far this season.

Games between the two sides are always memorable affairs, no more so than the final game of the Regional 1 South East campaign last season, when Tom Sweeney slotted a last minute penalty to give Harps the spoils.

The 2s and 3s are in action away from home this weekend and the club will be open from 6pm on Friday and Saturday showing both the 3rd/4th place play off and final of the Rugby World Cup.

Our 1st XV welcome visitors from Essex in the form of Rochford Hundred who last visited the club in 2018 in a pre-season friendly during their meteoric rise to National 2 and despite relegation last season they remain a force to be reckoned with.

The 3rd XV make the short trip to Dunstablians to take on their 2nd XV and will be trying to get their first league points on the board.

In the clubhouse we have a live band from 6pm-7.30pm before the World Cup semi final between England and South Africa on our big screens.

There was almost nothing between the two sides last season with The Ath being victorious at 24-23 at Putnoe Woods and the points being shared in a 26-26 in the return fixture at Redbourn Lane.
