🌟Staff Stories: Meet Paul!Our Aftersales Manager🌟

Paul's journey in the motor trade began right after he left building college. He started as a valeter, quickly moving on to fitting tyres while training to be a technician. With hard work and determination, Paul climbed the ranks from Fiat technician to workshop controller. When Giles took over Fiat and Alfa Romeo, he recognised Paul's potential and promoted him to Aftersales Manager, and later, Area Manager for Nissan. Paul has truly grown up in the motor trade.

Paul first met our Managing Director Giles at Dixons 25 years ago, where Giles gave him his first service manager role. When Giles founded GC Motors, Paul followed and has been a dedicated part of our team for the last 18 years. He joined as the Service Manager, tasked to create the state-of-the-art aftersales department that we have today.

Paul's love for cars comes from his hands-on approach—he enjoys taking things apart and fixing them. He thrives on the challenges of repairing vehicles and finds the most satisfaction in seeing our customers come back time and time again.

What impresses Paul the most about GC Motors is our ability to adapt to industry changes, especially when many others have struggled. Seeing our staff grow, get married, buy homes, and start families has been incredibly rewarding for him; he truly believes it’s all about teamwork.

Driven by the goal to keep GC Motors at the top, Paul faces the fast-paced changes in the motor trade and technology head-on. He tackles challenges one step at a time, learning and improving with each experience.

One of Paul's standout moments was the first recommissioning of “classic“ an old 348 Ferrari that hadn’t been driven in years, and seeing the joy on the customer’s face when they collected it. He also fondly remembers being told to "bog off" by Roy Keane after asking for a picture and the time he jump-started Dave Myers’ (from the Hairy Bikers) Porsche.
