With just seven days until Yorkshire Day, the shop team have created this Yorkshire-themed display to celebrate the occasion!

The display showcases the best that Yorkshire has to offer including paintings of rural landscapes, books about the region, and much more...

Meet Annette, a familiar face to many as she manages the shop at the Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre Shop 👋

Annette has been supporting Yorkshire Cancer Research for a number of years, after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. She originally volunteered at the shop in Knaresborough before joining the team here in Harrogate.

When Annette was diagnosed with cancer for a second time, she signed up to the Active Together service. Active Together, funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research, offers personalised fitness, nutrition and wellbeing support to people before, during and after their cancer treatment.

💬 “Being part of this has helped me mentally and physically. It’s an absolutely fabulous service and everyone should be able to benefit from it.”

As well as the shop and cafe, the Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre is also home to Active Together. We are working to bring this pioneering cancer research service to people across Yorkshire, creating the largest global study of this kind.
