Our funeral services are spaces where people know they will receive full support from our small and caring team. As well as helping people with funerals, we are here to provide wider support for wellbeing after loss.
One of the ways we do this is through our peer bereavement support group. It is open to anyone, not just people we have supported with a funeral: https://fullcirclefunerals.co.uk/bereavement-support/peer-bereavement-support/

We are so moved by this lovely feedback for Martin at Full Circle Funerals Harrogate. Comments like this mean a great deal to our small and friendly team, who really do go out of their way to be as available, flexible and helpful as they can possibly be, to make a challenging time easier.
Thank you Nadine for your very kind words. đź’š
Last September we opened the Still Thinking of You community postbox on the front of Full Circle Funerals office on Otley Road, Guiseley.
It is for anybody , of any age, to post a letter or card to their special person who is no longer physically with them . No stamp is needed. .
Knowing the letters and cards will never be delivered, opened or returned but will be kept safe until they are either turned to mulch to feed Season Well’s community garden or used as fuel to heat a seasonal drink to raise a toast to our people.
Sending love to everyone who is missing their dad or special person as fast approaches # # #

What to expect when someone is dying A guided conversation about what to expect at the end of life
We have the pleasure of working with many wonderful florists….
These stands belong to one of them- and we can’t quite remember who!
Whoever you are, we remember that you said you would come back for them… and we know they are precious, so we thought a little reminder that we have them would be helpful!

When it comes to your thoughts about what you may want for yourself, or someone you love, in relation to choices and options around funerals, writing down your wishes in some way is incredibly important.
So, whether this is a financial funeral plan, or you are just interested in creating a written record of your wishes, we can help.
If you would like to some support in finding out more about the options available, please don't hesitate to get in touch with either [email protected], or [email protected] to book in a time to chat and explore what would be important for you and your family.
To make a challenging time easier, our founder Sarah has written a funeral guide to break down the funeral arrangement process into simple steps.
Funerals Your Way is packed full of suggestions that are intended to help you create a funeral which truly reflects the person who has died. There are sections on green funeral choices and some helpful information on how to look after your wellbeing after bereavement.
You can find out more about the guide, which is available as an ebook or paperback, here https://fullcirclefunerals.co.uk/find-out-more/funeral-self-help-book/

We have been lucky enough recently to go and speak to the teams at Home Instead - Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk & Home-Instead Bradford West Leeds about how we care for our communities when it comes to bereavement.
We really enjoyed delivering the sessions, and we are available to come and speak (FOR FREE) to your team if you feel that it would be helpful.
If you would like further information on what is included in these talks, or you would like to book us in to come and speak, please contact [email protected]
As funeral and bereavement specialists, we love sharing the knowledge and experience we’ve built up over the years to help people in other professions and support roles, where similar skills might be useful.
Solicitors, care staff and those working in community groups are just some of the people we give talks to and run workshops for about funerals, funeral choices and what makes a meaningful funeral. Knowledge and understanding help to make a challenging time easier.

I really enjoyed this conversation with Will and Charlie from The Sustainable Business Podcast.
We talked about how funerals could be more sustainable and Will and Charlie shared their thoughts about continuing bonds - well worth a listen.

We are lucky to work with such talented colleagues...
Together we support families to choose what it right for them and do everything that we can to make a challenging time easier.
Almost one fifth of all the families across the UK experience financial difficulty when it comes to arranging a funeral they weren’t prepared for.
If you feel that this might affect you, or your family, in the same way, please feel free to get in touch, so we can support you to explore what the costs and options are around funeral plans and wishes to put a plan in place ahead of time that suits your needs.

Did you know that our founder Sarah was an NHS doctor before establishing Full Circle Funerals?
Thanks to her knowledge and training, the people we support know how important it is to us that the care someone receives in death is as they would expect in life. They also know that we will make a challenging time easier.
If you would like to know a little bit more about how we work, we have written a blog about a day in the life of a Full Circle funeral director.

A Day In The Life Of A Funeral Director Traditionally, funeral directing has happened behind closed doors creating an air of mystery about the profession and everything surrounding it.
You can have a funeral on a Saturday.
Team Full Circle are ready to support a family with a beautiful, personal and culturally sensitive service and committal today.
It is such a privilege to be a small part of this important day.
Our next 'Memories and Flowers' workshop with Sammie from Kiddal Quarry Farm & MHA Farsley will be taking place on 16.07.24 2pm to 4pm at Palmers Plants!

Our very own Ruth Owen will be manning a Full Circle stall at this very special event next weekend. It would be great to see you there, if you can make it!
In the past, there may have been a tendency to encourage people “to move forward rather than dwelling on the past” after a significant bereavement. We now know that this advice can make people feel isolated and poorly understood. It is now accepted that finding ways to feel an ongoing connection and bond after someone has died recognises the changed nature of a relationship after bereavement and can help people find their own personal way to grieve.
In our blog, “How to still feel connected to someone after they die,” we look at some of the ways connections can be maintained. These can include having a favourite photograph in a special place, wearing a special piece of jewellery, writing in a journal or talking about or to your loved one.
Read more ways that can help here:

How to still feel connected to someone after they die We look at some of the ways that connections can be maintained with someone after they have died. These continuing bonds take many forms and there are lots of possibilities.
Thank you for your lovely feedback Maureen!

We are looking for kind, caring and reliable people to join our team of Funeral Service Assistants!
If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in finding out more about the role, please get in touch with [email protected] for a chat :)
Our monthly online bereavement support group is held on the first Wednesday of the month between 5.30pm – 7pm.
Some people choose to come and share their experiences whereas others prefer to simply listen. Many people who attend tell us that it is helpful to spend time in a safe space where they feel comfortable to speak about their bereavement. It can be reassuring to hear that others have similar challenges and feelings and to ask others how they have dealt with difficult situations.
You do not need to have used our services to attend.

Funeral Care Workshops 🌱
Many professionals, including solicitors, care staff and those working in community groups, find themselves being asked about funerals and funeral choices.
If you work in one of these environments, then this workshop will help you to feel more confident to help these conversations and deliver a better experience for the person you are supporting.

Textile recycling points?
We have been working hard to reduce our impact on the environment over the past few years, and have implemented lots of different systems to improve how we work, but recently we have found a small sticking point and we wondered if any of you lovely people may be able to help!
We have a clothes recycling bin at our Bramley location in Leeds for any clothes we are asked to recycle (and for the public to use too), but we can't put general textile recycling in this, and we wondered whether anyone may know where we can recycle the small amount of textile waste we come into contact with?
Any suggestions would be gratefully received :)
Our offices will be closing today at 5pm, and will reopen at 9am on the 27th, but our oncall team will be still available 24 hours a day (via our local phone numbers) over the Christmas period if anyone needs our support!
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year x
