We're adding this traditional Scandinavian roast pork dish, known for its crispy crackling and tender, juicy meat, to the weekend menu 🙌

Head Chef Joe has used pork belly for ours, carefully scoring the skin to achieve a perfect, crunchy layer during roasting. The pork is flavoured with mustard, dill, fennel and garlic and is served on a Bakeri Baltzersen brioche bun with Danish remoulade, apple butter sauce and pickled cucumber.

Our newest member of the Baltz kitchen team, David, has used his culinary talents and created this weekend’s tasty special….Cod Cheek and Celeriac Beignets and it’s 👌🏻

Celeriac beignets with pulled cod cheeks, chive emulsion and crispy chicken skin served with apple and fennel slaw.

It might not be something you have had before but it’s homemade food at its best and we’d highly recommend 😋

We welcome well behaved dogs, like Bailey sitting so nicely here, and have dog treats and dog bowls available - just ask the front of house team!

We've added a fish option to the lunch time Pølse menu and it's delicious!

Battered jumbo cod fish finger, chunky homemade tartare sauce, sweet pink pickled onions and crispy onions. Served in a Bakeri Baltzersen potato roll with a side of house pickles and potato salad.

It's satisfying, full of flavour and makes for an enjoyable lunch 😋

We tried rapscallion sodas whilst we were on our travels the other month and just had to get them in the Cafe! These Scottish small batch sodas are packed with flavour without without all the junk. Carbonated Scottish Water, Fresh Fruit, Spices, Raw Organic Cane Sugar and Vitamin C. That's it.

Today, 17th May, marks Norway’s National Day, commemorating the country's independence and national identity.

In Norway, it’s a day of full of colourful parades, national costumes, delicious food and lots of flag waving! In keeping with the Cafe’s Norwegian roots, we've got our flags up and we’ll be joining in the celebrations and shouting ‘hurra’ 🥳

⏰ CHANGE TO OPENING HOURS - 9am - 4pm daily

This time last year we extended our opening hours until 5pm, primarily to try and enable those to come for waffles after school who found it difficult to get there before 4pm. It’s not really worked out as we’d hoped and opening 4 - 5pm isn’t busy enough to justify the extra hour. So, from today we’ll be opening 9am - 4pm daily, 7 days a week 😊

🙌🏻Mackerel Pâté is back!

Mackerel Pâté is on the special menu this weekend and we are really happy to have it back 🐟

This super-tasty homemade mackerel pate is served with pickles, beetroot and horseradish chutney and toasted Pain de Mie.

As well as being packed with oily fish goodness, this dish is full of flavour and different textures making for a tasty lunch 😋

😋 NEW Bhaji Bun

Say hello to our NEW Bhaji Bun - Onion bhaji with mint raita, pickled pink onions, mango chutney and coriander on a potato roll

The Bhaji Bun replaces the Buffalo Sweet Potato as a Vegan option on the Sandwich Menu.

It’s available from today and can you also get it from our Harrogate and Wetherby Bakery Shops if you are looking for lunch on the go 🥪

The Cafe will be CLOSED on Easter Sunday 31st March.

We're OPEN as usual all other days over the Easter period, 9am - 5pm daily. As always, our HALF PRICE waffle offer continues over the holidays after 2pm weekdays for loyalty members 🙌🏻
