As the nights start to draw in, and with candles flickering away on every table, The Tannin Level does take on a very special ambience. And now our brand new Autumn Menu's have arrived, featuring some amazing local produce; duck eggs, Yorkshire woodland pork, local salt aged venison, rare beed beef cheeks, Yorkshire reared guinea fowl and the most amazing fish and seafood from the North Yorkshire coast.

Thienot: Champagne of the Oscars!
Our house champagne is no ordinary champagne; it was the champagne of the 85th and 86th Oscars... and we love it!
A powerful nose with hints of pipped fruit jam, apples and quince. Rounded and long on the palate, with a persistent bead of bubbles and a creamy mousse. Delicious...

As the Summer begins to wane and the autumn draws ever closer, what better time to indulge in our delicious local produce?
At this time of year our Scallops in their smoked paprika ragu with chorizo, followed by our duo of salt aged Yorkshire beef, finished of with our irresistible chocolate mouse is just perfect.
And of course at this time of year our cheeseboard is also an exemplary choice; fine handmade British cheeses complemented with artisan english spelt crackers, with a nice claret or glass of port; now that does sound rather good!

Champagne Anyone?
We find that some house champagne's can be a bit, well... meh!
Which is why we looked for something a bit special for ours.
Champagne Thienot was the exclusive champagne of the 85th and 86th Oscars, and it is lovely.
We have it by the bottle, half bottle and glass; and at only £12.95 for a glass we think it represents great value.
