Hydration is crucial to getting a good result – because dehydration can detrimentally impact any dermal filler treatment, including lip injection results. So DO drink plenty of water after having treatments. Remember, dermal filler relies on drawing water to the treated cells; so stay hydrated.💋

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. This enzyme naturally occurs in our skin but can be injected at higher concentrations in order to rapidly remove unwanted filler. The enzyme is a powder that is mixed with saline and then this solution is injected into the area where the filler has been placed. The filler will be broken down and will disappear in a matter of minutes. However, the results of the treatment are usually only apparent after 24 hours (once any swelling has gone down).
This treatment can be used in an emergency situations where a vascular occlusion has occurred or as a routine treatment where unwanted or migrated filler is dissolved.

I THINK MY LIP FILLERS HAS MIGRATED… HELP!
If you believe that your filler has migrated, then don’t panic, as it can be treated. The beauty of modern-day filler is that it is semi-permanent, so over time your body will naturally break down and metabolise the substance.
The best option however is to not keep continually filling the lips or face with more product to smooth out the migrated filler. The migration will not be removed this way, so therefore the option in this case is just to start over. Filler within the lips or other areas can be dissolved using a product called Hyalase. Hyalase is made up of the chemical Hyaluronidase, which is a soluble protein enzyme. It works by breaking up the bonds that hold the Hyaluronic Acid molecules (the filler) together. Once the filler has been dissolved, we would recommend waiting around two weeks until the filler has all been removed and then the lips can be re-filled.
This lovely lady had her lips dissolved and is back in clinic tomorrow so I’ll show you the results before we re do them for her💋
