As the days get shorter and shorter, it’s good that you can rely on LED lighting from Weinor. Under the patio roof or in the Glasoase® from Weinor, which is fully protected by glass elements, you can easily ensure pleasantlighting, using a remote control. You can also activate your weinor patio heater in similar fashion, with the advantage that both heating and lights can be dimmed. For a long evening on the patio, even during the dark season. B O N F I R E N I G H T ✔

Today we thought we'd share a little Bonfire Night Safety with you all before tonight's celebrations begin!

DO's:
- Position the bonfire well away from houses, sheds, garages, fences, overhead cables, trees and of course our awnings, pergolas and patio roofs!

- Make sure the bonfire is stable and will not collapse

- Ensure everyone is a safe distance away from the fire and ensure children are supervised AT ALL TIMES

- Keep buckets of water, a hose or an extinguisher around in case of any mishaps

- Pour water on the remains of the bonfire before coming indoors

- Keep all pets indoors, windows and blinds closed and minimise noise as much as possible.

- Wear gloves when using sparklers

- Check for any small wild animals before you light the bonfire

- Light fireworks at arms length using a taper

DONT's:

- leave the bonfire unattended

- burn things like tyres, cannisters, plastics, foam filled furniture, materials etc.

- Light or store fireworks/sparklers near the bonfire.

- Use flammable liquids to start the bonfire

- Go near a firework after it has been lit - even if it does not go off

- Touch fireworks after they have gone off

- Touch sparklers after they have gone out

The work completed will be FOC as this is a charity project. Engineers would need to be available on 22.09.2022 and 23.09.2022 in Leeds.

TIPS FOR STAYING SAFE & COOL IN THE SUN 😎

We all know the best ways to keep cool and safe in the sun but here's a little reminder along with a few helpful tricks and tips...

- Stay hydrated, avoid excess alcohol and drink all the water or suck on ice lollies if you're not up to drinking
- Stay shaded, close the curtains in your home and pop out your awnings... this will help keep your home cooler for longer
- Wear sun cream and wide brimmed hats to protect your skin from burning and to protect from the risk of heat stroke
- Try and keep physical activity to the mornings and evenings when it is cooler. This goes for dog walking too.
- Try to keep out of the sun between 11am to 3pm, when the UV rays are strongest.
- Stay cooler at night by popping your bed sheets in the freezer before putting them on your bed. Putting an iced bottle of water in front of your fan will also allow cooler air to fill your room with.
- Never leave anyone in a closed, parked vehicle, especially infants, young children or animals
- Open up your loft hatches (if you have one). Heat rises so will gather in the loft making your bedrooms cooler
-Wear loose fitting lighter clothing
