Sea Clay Studio
Contemporary clay jewellery and accessories, all handcrafted in my home studio on the south coast.
Hampshire Open Studios starts next weekend!
This year, I'll be popping up at in Hedge End on Sunday 18th August. I'll have a selection of my latest one-of-a-kind makes and will making at my table, so come along and say hello if you're interested in my process!
Check out feed for details of the artists who are there for the whole time, and for details of some very exciting workshops taking place. Fancy painting ceramics or needle-felting a daisy? is your girl. A great family activity for the summer hols.
Hope to see some of you there.
Just a l'il post to say hello π as I've not shown my face on here for a while! The sunglasses are firmly on, to hide the dark circles (have had a nasty virus π¦ the past few days, which has totally drained me). But a lovely day at Bishop's Waltham Brocante today with where my summery blues and greens were well-receoved and the sun even made an appearance π
I'll be watching the β½οΈ this eve with my footie fanatic son, then an early night for me π΄ Rock and roll! A week and a half to go, then the summer hols!!
Just a few last-minute pieces being rustled up this evening for tomorrow's event in Guildford with .
I don't talk about this enough, but I actually make all my earring hooks by hand out of recycled 925 sterling silver. Pictured are some of the tools I use. Also very important are a π for measuring and a hide π¨ for strengthening each hook.
Your plans sorted for tomorrow!! β΅οΈπ€ππ
I've gone back to my roots!! Did you know that my very first creations for other people were chunky beaded keyrings and lanyards strung onto leather cord? These continue to sell well at events, so much so that I've sold out! So last night, I finally got my hands on some clay again and made these πππ©΅ππ
I'll be bringing these tomorrow to for people to select their favourite beads for me to make into a keyfob, lanyard, or necklace on the day π They make a great end-of-year teacher gift too. I should know because I am one π€£
That's actually why I've not been too present lately on here: this week has been my school's annual whole-school Art Week, organised by yours truly, which is a ginormous undertaking and has occupied weeks of my time. So if you see me tomorrow and I'm a bit wabbit, you'll understand why π€ͺ
Happy Caturday!! πββ¬οΈ
I've had a little helper in my studio this morning helping me to curate my stand for tomorrow's Watercress Festival in Alresford. Love it when he keeps me company!!
If you're coming along tomorrow, take a look at the festival website for all the helpful info. You'll find me in the maker's village on the station forecourt alongside my good pal π
Top tip: bring some cash, as apparently due to the volume of people attending, the signal for card payments is sometimes a bit ropey!
Evening! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend in the sun π I haven't been on the socials for a while as I've been busy with work-work, mainly planning our summer whole-school Art week π« π¨
I'm immersing myself back in the world of Sea Clay next weekend though, as I'll be in the Maker's Village at the Watercress Festival in Arlesford a week today π
All the details are below if you fancy coming along. Hopefully we'll see the yellow thing in the sky again!!
π§π§π§ Hello again π
Is it still wet where you are? π Seaside dreaming over here!!
I had a lovely preview night last night, and full day today ...absolutely shattered now though!! One more day to go - we'll all be there 10-4 tomorrow if you fancy a visit.
I've realised that I never uploaded these dangles to my shop, and only have one of each colour left. Anyone want to claim them? Message me! The duck egg blue is so difficult to mix, and I'm super busy atm, so I'm not sure when I'll have time to make more.
Stay cozy!!

So excited for this weekend's event - their 50th show!! π₯³π₯π
I'm currently assembling some last-minute pieces, and I'll be bringing lots of lush, one-of-a-kind Spring-like jewellery along with me π±π
There are still a handful of preview evening tickets left for tomorrow night. Take a look at for details and more info about who you can find there π

π Hello, here's a pic of me trying out a couple of new designs that I hope to roll out in the next few weeks. I really can't get enough of this chartreuse as it's such a happy, mood-lifting colour: equally good for sunny days, and days like today when the sun isn't actually making an appearance!
Also, if you are local, my jewellery and I will be at on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday! Always a fab event and I'll be bringing lots of one-of-a-kind pieces π I'll post details in my stories.

Very grateful for your orders since re-opening my Etsy shop - thank you π
I love how my classic styles are standing the test of time. I've been looking through my personal collection and have fallen in love again with these Viridian studs π What colours would complement your Spring/Summer wardrobe?

I'm back!!
We were lucky enough to spend a blissful 11 days in Thailand as a family over Easter. The children's first time flying, and a chance to show them our special place (it was my 6th visit!!). Beautiful, friendly people and stunning sights. Elephants, snorkeling, sandy beaches, massages, pool, food, sunsets, palaces: impossible to choose a favourite experience! Definitely feeling very grateful.
Back to earth with a bump now, and back soon with what's coming up for Sea Clay, but for now, my shop is back open π

You can find me at this Sunday and at Southampton Art Gallery for the Spring Market on Saturday 23rd March for starters π
And don't forget I'll be dropping some new pieces into my Etsy shop tomorrow evening too. I'm gradually finding my 2024 mojo again...it's definitely been in hiding recently π«
Happy Saturday!
I finally got around to photographing a new collection of earrings for Spring last week...but I'm yet to edit and list them. I'll try to get them online by Tuesday evening, so please bear me in mind for your Mother's Day gifting!
A lot of the collection was created in clay in the window of in the summer, and the patterned ones like those pictured are a limited collection and can't be reproduced, making them all that more special ππΈ
Meanwhile, there are plenty of other earrings available too on my Etsy. Take a look!
I've done a little bit of spring cleaning in my Etsy shop, and have re-named / re-organised the sections again to hopefully make browsing a bit easier.
These happy chartreuse organic hoop earrings, for example, can be found in the 'greens and citrus' section π±π
Lots of gift ideas for mother's day π
Who's excited for March to arrive tomorrow? π«Ά
Hello π Thought I'd jump on again to show you some of the exclusive pieces that I made last month for the colourful new 'Aurora' exhibition at in Lymington. β¨οΈ These (and more) are available online via their website and in store. An amazing array of uplifting artwork, ceramics and jewellery are on display there. Defo worth a visit.
So happy to see a bit of sunshine this morning to launch half term (happy half term to those who celebrate/are on the same term times as us btw!).
Have a lovely weekend x

Valentine's gifts don't have to be heart or flower shaped...although I do have some β€οΈ pieces in my shop! You may not gift for Valentine's, but equally, you might want to place a not-so-subtle hint! Here to plant a seed π±π
I received this lovely review on my Etsy today. Words like this mean so much.
Thank you, thank you to those of you who have supported my business this month, especially since I'm not really helping myself much right now π

Well, that was a lovely l'il break from social media and a proper deep dive into some well-deserved family time π₯°
I hope everyone's had a bit of time to re-charge over the festive break, and I wish you all a healthy and fun-filled 2024.
Let me know if you got any Sea Clay for Christmas!π
The proper reflecting on 2023 for Sea Clay Studio will come, I'm sure: I've still got footage from my last few markets to share and lots of good things to be grateful for.
But for now, here are some snaps of me & my nearest n dearest by the sea π, in the peaks β°οΈ and surrounded by light β¨οΈπ...in the great outdoors where I am happiest π
I couldn't do what I do without the patience and support of my amazing family. .d.milne.7 I love you to bits, and THANK YOU β€οΈ
Let's see what 2024 has in store...
Hello, happy Festive Friday! π
So that's my Etsy shop on holiday mode until 1st January. Thank you again for your incredible support this year, whether via my shop, through visiting me at an event or recommending me to friends! β¨οΈ
If you are local and after a last-minute Sea Clay stocking filler or a gift for a loved one, please do pay one of my lovely stockists a visit:
in Hamble (who have a late-night shopping event this evening π·)
in Botley
in Hedge End
Each has a unique collection of my jewellery that you wouldn't find in my shop anyway!
From mid-January, I will have a brand new collection landing at in Lymington as part of their Aurora exhibition! Watch this space for sneak peeks of my work-in-progress for this π
Have a lovely weekend, whatever you're up to. We've got some festive baking planned for this afternoon, if the poorly one is up to it βοΈ

Evening! Hope everyone's had a good weekend. After a lovely mooch with friends around Wi******er Christmas Market yesterday (mostly sampling and buying cheeses, oils, chilli jams and gin π), I've kind of crashed today!!
Just posting to say another big thank you for your Etsy orders this week (wine glass charms are still the best-selling item!). Also, a reminder that tomorrow is the last recommended posting date for 2nd class mail. If you order tonight, I'll dispatch tomorrow, although I recommend upgrading to 1st class just in case. Don't forget I do gift vouchers too!
Of course, if it's earrings for New Year that you're after, there are still plenty of party pairs in my shop. Just a heads up that I'll be putting my shop on holiday mode from 22 December until 1st Jan.

This afternoon I took some quick snaps π· of some of the items I have left over from my winter fairs. I will post them up in my stories from 8pm tonight.
Pretty much all the pieces are one-offs, so this is a great chance to snap up a unique pair of Sea Clay earrings from the comfort of your sofa! I'm offering these at a slight discount and with free 2nd class delivery (UK only). I hope to add to this sale tomorrow night too, and I will post from Wednesday.
I will also add some heavily discounted 'old school' Sea Clay Dangles and studs from a few years ago.
Keep your eyes peeled π...fastest fingers first ππππ€Ά
