Today is World Alzheimer’s day.

At the centre we are very passionate about supporting families affected by dementia. This is a cause very close to our team’s heart, many of them have experienced dementia with a loved one.

We have our monthly dementia hub on the 1st Wednesday, which is a huge success and has already helped so many families get advice and care for their loved ones.

This Tuesday 24th September we have the ladies in from Alzheimer's Society to help raise awareness, give advice.

We will have a dementia friend session at 3pm for family and friends to attend, just turn up at the hub before 3pm on Tuesday 24th September.

Each year, World Alzheimer’s Day is on the 21st September.

It’s a global opportunity to raise dementia awareness and support people affected by the disease and support people affected by the disease.

A dementia diagnosis can make you feel uncertain about your future, but having an early and accurate diagnosis is vital. It gives people access to the care, treatment and support they desperately need.

Join in the fun and book a FREE place at the community parade costume making workshop on Saturday 28 September for 50 Fest!💃🏽

The highlight of Dacorum’s 50 Fest celebration will be the community parade, featuring a wonderful array of handmade puppets and performers. The theme of the parade is animals and nature relating to the Dacorum area.🦋🐦

There are two workshops to choose from, which are suitable for all ages, adults and children. Artists from Handmade Productions will be on hand to help you make your own creation, to wear in the parade on Sunday 29 September. All materials will be provided. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Spaces on the workshops are limited, so booking is essential. Please ensure you will be available for the parade on Sunday 29 September, if you are participating in a costume making workshop.
