Did you know that you could support us in a special way by becoming a friend of the centre?

The Centre is a wonderful, purpose-built home-from-home in the heart of Henley-on-Thames.
Our range of care services gives disabled young adults aged between 16 – 30 the chance to get the most out of life, whilst giving practical support to their parents and families.
The Centre provides a warm, safe and stimulating environment with a positive and relaxed atmosphere.
By removing the barriers that many young people with disabilities face, we enable them to socialise, make friends and enjoy themselves whilst enjoying a broad range of developmental activities including art, drama and crafts as well as a wide range of activities to support independence.
Support like yours helps us retain our dedicated staff; provides activities for our young people and stay open.
The Chiltern Centre is reliant on the local community for funding. This regular income enables us to plan our specialist care over the longer term.
All Friends donations to The Chiltern Centre are normally eligible for Gift Aid enabling us to continue to support our young people in a safe and caring environment.
For more information about our Friends membership please contact:

We are excited to announce the first in a series of private dinners celebrating our 20th year. Please click the link in our story to find out more or contact us directly. The first private supper will be held at the exclusive home of the Kressner family, Britwell House, in Britwell Salome near Watlington.

Britwell House is a magnificent Georgian style home which is not open to the public so this really is a unique and one off experience to enjoy a 3 course supper in charming surroundings, hosted by the owners Cecelia and Thomas. You will enjoy arrival drinks and wine pairing from our local fine wine merchants, James and James at Woods Wines. A delicious 3 course supper will be prepared by Stephanie Trendall of Stephanie Emma Catering. A wonderful experience whilst supporting a wonderful cause. 💛

How exciting to get a visit from some of the incredible cyclists who kindly raised money for us and their schools by taking on the immense challenge of cycling all the way to Paris! Organiser Tom Potter along with 23 friends and local parents from Trinity set off from Henley on a 325km ride to the French capital, all in aid of a good cause or 3.

Tom had planned to do the cycle in 2020 and had to abort due to Covid. It has taken 4 years to finalise new plans and Tom found some new riders along the way.

Tom said “I chose the Chiltern Centre because I wanted to support a smaller local charity that does great things, but struggles for funding and awareness vs other mainstream charities. It was concerning, but satisfying to hear that the 2017 ride I organised provided critical funding to the Chiltern Centre at that time and I could only imagine the events of the years since would not have been easy for the Chiltern Centre”

All of the 24 riders made it to Eiffel Tower without incident, a little wet, a little cold, but relieved and proud. Tom’s son has said that one day he will ride to Paris so that his children can be proud too. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for this wonderful fundraising! 🌟 🚲 🤩

If you would like to organise your own fundraiser and need our help, please email [email protected]
