It’s ironic on my daughter’s Birthday we officially launch the Henley Man Club website . Please share and this is for all men who maybe struggling or even if you are not !! We are a group of men Volunteers in a non profit Group with an aim to improve the male identity and do great stuff for the local community with Luke Dorn PT and DJ One Deck it’s good to talk !!

Henley Man Club – It's Good To Talk Mental health is a practise. By learning to talk and listen we can develop our mental strength and implement a positive mindset and habits. We meet regularly in Henley-on-Thames, and we are here to listen, to share, and to support each other:

Every Monday starting from March 11th, we will be hosting our club meetings at The Bull on Bell street .This is an opportunity for men to come together, support one another, and foster a sense of brotherhood. 🚀🤝

Whether you’re going through a tough time or simply looking for a community that understands, the Henley Man Club is here for you. We are committed to providing a judgment-free environment where everyone’s voice is heard and respected. 💙🙌

I have just read the article in the Henley Herald and just wanted to say that I think the Henley Man Club sounds like a great idea. So many people I know are struggling right now (including myself) and so many of them are men. I too have known far too many over the years that lost the battle with their locked up emotions so I know how important communication and understanding is.

Is it just a turn up on the day thing at the Bull on the 11th or do you need to book in?

I want to thank everyone for your kind messages of support over what is a very difficult period of time for us all and has shocked us all and we are still coming to terms with the sad loss of my daughters Mum Julie . Thank you also for the heartfelt love and support for the most important person our daughter Gabriella who is showing an amazing strength which her Mum Julie I know will be so proud of . Apologise I have not returned any calls or responded I myself are coming to terms in losing a great friend who was the rock behind me and someone i knew our daughter was totally protected , safe , loved and someone in Julie who committed her life to our daughter . All these things I owe to you Julie Hanlon and I have so many memories especially the toughest ones spending our lives in and out of hospitals ever since Gabriella was born we worked together behind the scenes as a seamless team to protect our daughter and I’ll never forget how we trusted each other through all the tough decisions we had to make and you gave everything thing you had and more and we always put our daughter first and trusted each others opinion even when we were totally in the dark in what to do . We were like a professional team who came across as we had been through this before but in truth we were winging it but trusted each other and valued each others judgements and opinions and 9 times out of 10 we got all our decisions right . We were like a well choreographed team leaping to to the unknown with the many Drs and medical staff we met along the way and always challenged everything and anyone that we’re making critical decisions about our daughters welfare and healthcare . All these things I will keep and treasure in my heart until my last breathe I will keep you deep in my heart. We smiled through the toughest times and knew we had each others back and you kept me inclusive in our daughters life and distance was no boundary. You have left a hole that can never be replaced and I promise all you have done will not be in vain and when I close my eyes and see Gabriella I see you and you’re Legacy is in safe hands . I will miss you and you will always be my family and friend forever and every decision I make will be mindful of what you would of wanted .
Gabriella has an amazing school and strong family network around her and we will take every day as it comes but for now time for reflection on what a quite remarkable independent resilient, funny , strong , courageous, trustworthy, loyal super mum you were Julie .
Thanks again to everyone for sending love and support I cannot thank you enough and on behalf of me and Gabriella your support has lifted us through these challenging times and will do through the challenges that lie ahead # # #
