Like many others, our very own Social Media Manager, Emily, found herself lost for words when the UK went into a national lockdown when she was due to get married.

Deciding to carry on with the wedding planning, another little suprise due 6 months before the proposed wedding date meant Emily had more to consider than she realised.

"I booked my appointment with Julie when I was 5 months pregnant and I was expecting to find it a real struggle. When I had no clue what I was looking for, Satin & Silk were there. Julie explained the lead times on dresses and we discussed sizing and how my dress could be altered if needed in the future after the baby arrived. I was shocked at how calm I felt considering the outside world was such an overwhelming place. When I went in for my final fitting post pregnancy, my dress fit like it was a bespoke piece just for me all thanks to Julie's careful consideration and work behind the scenes with her in house tailor! Having a tailor in the shop meant my dress didn't have to leave those four walls...a blessing really when I couldn't risk anything going against our big day. To our surprise, certain restrictions were lifted for the day before our wedding day and we went ahead with no fuss. I even bought some beautiful flower girl dresses from Satin & Silk to be the final piece in the puzzle..."
