I'm so pleased to have my results back for my last assignment. It's been difficult juggling life and learning over the past few months which makes achieving a good result worth all the hard work.

I've enjoyed pouring all my free energy into creating this 3D scale model for my latest assignment .

How cute is this Emma Bridgewater inspired upcycled table and chairs combo!

The original table has been in the family since the 1980's and was looking rather tired. We looked at all sorts of options to fix it up and even considered buying new. There was too much love for the table and chairs to let them go, so we chose to work with what we had.

The original surface of the table top was laminated which is difficult to work with. The decision was made to replace it and keep only the original legs. to the rescue replicated the table top from solid oak and built a new frame to replace the crumbling old one.

I then sanded the old chairs, painted them with finished with . The table top was oiled with Danish oil which should keep it looking fresh for many generations to come. 😀

When designing this family bathroom, my top priority was easy functionality of the space. As this room sits in the centre of our home with only internal walls, we put a huge skylight providing natural light all day and sometimes moonlight at night. The huge mirror bounces light to all angles. It has loads of built in storage easily accessible containing all our products and towels. There's even a linen cupboard behind the door on the left! Underfloor heating keeps the tiles at a perfect temperature. Warm tones and natural wood soften the hardess of the ceramic tiles which happen to be super easy to keep clean. What more can you ask for?

How's this for a transformation!

So many spare rooms end up as dumping grounds where clutter accumulates and this room was no exception.
Paperwork, books, exercise equipment, power tools, unfinished craft projects and even a snow shovel were amongst many other items in this confused room.
It took only four hours to transform this room to allow my client to once again have access to the treadmill. 

What happened to all the clutter? Most of the paperwork was shredded, tools found a home in the utility cupboard or the shed and other random items were distributed in more appropriate areas of the house. Q-tips have no business to be in the same room as golf clubs!

Now everything makes sense. Where there was clutter is now simply space. 🧚‍♀️

 






 

 

This studio flat in Yaletown Vancouver, Canada is getting the treatment.

We changed the flooring from a carpet, lino combo and freshened it up with a laminate which will be easy maintenance important for the resident.

never disappoints with amazing deals on a variety of home items. We couldn't believe our luck when we found these gorgeous pair of lamps, perfect for our room marked down from 200 to 25 dollars! What a steal!

Couldn't be more delighted with the quilt and cushions for the bed which is always tricky in a studio apartment. My advice is always choose fabrics for the bed which wouldn't be out-of-place in a living room.

Look out for a second post on this project in the near future. It's becoming a great transformation. 💓
